Have you ever gotten into a fight (physical alteration)?

I have a few times in my life. Mostly in high school and usually nothing too serious. Mostly just shoving/wrestling, though a few punches were thrown here or there. Never knocked anyone out nor been knocked out.

4th graders vs 5th graders.

Great times.

Where I went to school, if you we're a dude, you fought at least once. Saw a guys bracers stuck through his lip, always entertaining. For myself, only a few times.

Everytime I'm close to getting in a fight someone comes and separates us. But, I did once punch a kid in the face for something. Then he came back and broke my nose the next day, I did the same thing the day after that and got in trouble at school.

Wasn't really a fight, some extremely drunk guy was bothering my sister at a party and I asked him to leave her alone. He was long past the point of any sort of comprehension and challenged me to a fight. I booted him in the nuts. The end.

That was the last and only time.

never serious ones, where actual punches were being thrown; just little scuffles w my bro and sister when i was young. hope to keep it that way.

I never got into a fight.

Now that I think about it, I never experienced real physical harm from anyone other than my own self.

Being a very quiet person, it often made me a target for teasing when I was in school. And on top of that, I did have some anger issues when I was younger.......so yeah, I certainly had my fair share of fights in my school years.

Never had a fight since year 11 though (basically 7 or 8 years ago), so I guess that counts for something :P

I got into a lot of fights when I was younger. High school/middle school years, for me, were chock full of dangerous bouts with others for various reasons.

A couple of highlights though:

• Was ganged up on in seventh grade by about three other boys, and got beaten up pretty badly. I ended up with a mild concussion. Over the summer I fought one of the guys one on one and hit him in the head with a rock. I felt bad, and eventually we were actually friends.
• In eighth grade, I was involved in a scuffle in the locker room right after gym class. One of the other students was making fun of me for his chosen reason for that day, as he typically did (He was a well known bully), and so I turned around and spat in his face. I guess I was just fed up with it. He obviously didn't take too well to this and so right as I could see the anger rising to the surface I picked up one of my boots and hit him as hard as I could on the bridge of his nose. Ended up breaking his glasses too. Again, I felt bad about this. We had a few more fights before he was finally expelled for bullying.
• I got into a fight with one of my best friends when I was about 15 years old. He and I were arguing in the middle of a pick up baseball game, and he swung the bat at me because I was antagonizing him. Having seen a lot of action movies I lifted my arm up to block the bat instead of trying to dodge it. I ended up bruising my forearm pretty badly, but I also grabbed the bat from him. I swung at him as well, and he swayed back but took the hit right on the edge of his mouth. It messed his lip and chin up pretty badly. Overall that was a bad decision on my part either way. Had he not moved I may have done serious and irreparable damage to the guy, which I would have regretted for the rest of my life due not only to the obvious consequences but also because we are almost like brothers, even to this day.

Eh, there were some more fights but the rest were all wrestling/a few punches thrown. I don't fight much anymore. It's been nearly a decade since I was involved in any type of physical altercation and I don't plan on fighting anyone anytime soon. :P

Only with my brothers. But it was more pushing and shoving.

I haven't had a fight with them in ages though - they're both physically stronger than me now. They've outgrown their big sister :P

EDIT - I also fought a lot with my cousin when I was about 8 or 9. Full on hair pulling and pinching :P We get on great now though :)

Yep, last time was because friends brought their girlfriends clubbing and some guys were grabbing up on them so we got into a huge fight.

no but i almost did.

it was awhile back me and my friends were in a bad part of town and almost got in to a 6v6 fight.

Yeah I got into fights all through Junior High and High School. I was bullied pretty much all through Elementary school (beat up bullied, not picked-on bullied) so I decided if I was going to get hurt I may as well hurt them back.

Junior High is where I learned from my mistakes, by the time I got to High School I could pretty much stand on my own. Most of the fights I got into in High School were sticking up for my friends, because for some reason I always befriended the outcasts and loners and such.

The problem is some of those guys I was fighting in High School were of the popular variety, so anyone who wanted to be liked by them automatically didn't like me. They'd mouth off and I'd hit them, so yeah I took it a bit too far there the last few years of school and got into quite a bit of trouble more than once.

The only fistfight I've been in since High School is when I honked my horn at a guy who ran a red light and almost hit me. He flipped around and followed me to the store, got in my face so I put my fist in his. As he staggered I pulled out my revolver and pulled the hammer back (I have a CCL) and just stood there to see what he was gonna do (gun pointed down, not at him).

He left. Hahaha. :P

Back in 8th grade I kicked a guy hard in the stomach and got away with it.

Yes. I got into some fights in school (mostly during athletics) and around my neighborhood. I haven't been in a street fight in a long time, though I do box and spar regularly. It's fighting, but within a controlled environment.
