Have you ever liked someone who is already in a relationship?

That's right relationship thread time, I'm just wondering what kind of experiences you guys have had with liking people who are already with someone else?

Here's mine, earlier this year I was pretty infatuated with this girl who already had a bf and after about two months I realized that nothing was going to happen and moved on. I don't usually fall for girls that badly but I'm pretty happy I didn't waste too much time presuing something that couldn't happen.

Ha! Imagine not knowing she has a boyfriend, having some fun with her, and having him come home right in the middle. It was one of the nicest surprises she could have graced me with.

Many times, but if they are in a relationship and it's not an open one, then they are off limits, so no big. Edit: I'll add that here in SF, it's not at all uncommon to find people who are in open relationships, but even then I'm cautious, having had two different people who were in that situation apparently fall for me and say that they wanted to leave their current partner for me :(xaos

yea, open relationships simply do not work unless one person is the romantic, serious one and the other is simply a hook-up buddy.

yeah, sophmore year in high school. it was my best friend's girl though, so i didn't even think about trying to get with her.

and there's this girl i work with that i wouldn't necessarily say that i like, but i try to flirt with her and stuff. her boyfriend also works there though.

Not many, but their was this person who was married (this was some 3/4 years ago) and I had a really big crush on that person. We ended up being in a relationship for a while but things happened and we ended up parting ways. What a shame, but I got over it. :P

oh, I am so far. Its very nice not having any obligations, yet at the end of the night still having someone to fall asleep with :P

Ive tried to be the alpha, but frankly there is too much drama in that. Its much easier going after a girl who has "been there, done that" and she is tired of the type-A douche personalities.

Thats a generalization, of course, but you see where I am coming from.
