Have you ever noticed this about horror movies?

The horror movie starts out scary because it contains things you can relate to (such as sounds in the night, lights switching on and off, door knocking and no one there etc.) then it gets intense and unrealistic but still stays scary, and then towards the end of the movie shit starts to get so unrealistic and fantasy like that the movie stops being scary at all. For example it goes from sounds in the night, lights switching on and off, door knocking and no one there, things disappearing , weird sounds/images at the beginning to middle of the movie to people flying, ghosts revealing themselves and other fantasy stuff towards the end which makes the movie less scary.

This seems to happen in almost every horror movie I see. I see this happen in the conjuring,the exorcist , THE BABADOOK etc. only a few good horror movies haven't ended up like this such the Texas Chainsaw, Jaws,Signs and a few others.

Anyone else notice this shit in horror movies?

It's not something to be 'noticed'. With that kind of knowledge, you can make your own horror movie TC.

That's just supernatural movies and that's how they had always represented themselves. Some movies like the Paranormal Activities titles don't show the ghost or demon except for little shadows here and there and the main protagonists demon possessed face. They're the more realistic paranormal movies and the interest behind them had begun to fall since the 2nd movie. People like the unrealistic shit because they like to be able to see how scary looking the monster or ghost or slasher is in the horror movies and it gives more opportunities for more gruesome onscreen Hollywood death scenes.

Horror third acts are hard to get right.

I used to drink once a week but then I was drinking everyday and it affected my health and my weight increased to 16 and a half stones and I knew I had to stop drinking, make sure you don't get hooked on the stuff mate.

whats your fav horror movies

so you expect them to keep repeating those sounds throughout the entire movie? the whole point of the horror flicks is to make up some eerie storyline for those trivial details you mentioned.

i'm pretty sure i've told you this already, but i repeat; i love your taste in horror/sci fi s.
