Your teacher shouldn't be teaching.
Yes I have. I outsmarted my math teacher. She kept saying I was wrong. We argued for about fifteen minutes until she finally realized I was right.
Actually I have.
I took Algebra in summer school voluntarily to get a year ahead.
The teacher said we didn't have to do any work and that our grade would be entirely based on our final test.
So for the two semester term, I did nothing, and scored perfect on my test.
He didn't want to give me an A, but I got it cause I held him to his word.
nope. but my buddy solved a math problem in 20minutes that the entire math department had been trying to solve for 4 years.Severed_Handwhat was the question?
Most of the examples in this thread aren't people "outsmarting" their teachers because of higher IQ's and whatnot, it's just the teachers making a mistake that one of their students pick up on. Everyone makes mistakes.
Outsmarting your teacher would be beating him/her in a game of chess or something like that.

i dont know. he is extremely gifted. i wasn't taught the necessary skills to do the question.
Once, in College English II. :| She then tried to fail me.
She also tried to say I plagiarized, since we had to do a persuasive paper and had to make our opinions sound like facts in order to persuade the person. I did just that and she said I plagiarized.
My computer class teacher was an idiot. We never tried to "outsmart" her because she was too stubborn/stupid to understand when she was wrong but we'd always laugh at the dumb **** she'd say.
My English teacher would always pick on a certain group of students becaue we were "talking and disrupting the class," so one day we vowed not to say a single word and he still picked on us so I blasted that fool (verbally). Even while I was arguing with him other students (that he never said bip to) were talking and he couldn't say anything in retalliation. We just left the class and told him to sort the mess out himself. =)
My Civics teacher was saying that if you put all of the water in the earth into a bucket, only a spoonful of it would be drinkable, unsalted water.
I said "But if all the water was in a bucket wouldn't the clean water get salt water in it?"
She hates me. She says "Well, the clean water is in a baggie"
And I say "I didn't know there was plastic in the world's water supply"
She says "Ok c|ass, lets move on"
I hate her so much
My Government teacher was always making these subtle cracks at religion and it made me so mad. One day, he goes off on this tangent about how we think monotheism is better, but Christianity isn't monotheistic, because we believe in the divinity of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I had to stop him right there, and I lectured him (and the class) for a five minutes on the nature of the Trinity. His only response was, "ask someone from your Church, you'll see I'm right." Man, I still hate that guy. mysterylobsterYou shouldn't hate. Hating is the same as murder. But who am I to judge?
happens all the time with me and my math teacher.. so annoying when he goes "oh" at the end of a 15 min argument.Your teacher shouldn't be teaching.

Yes, my IT subjects Teacher, he basically taught out of a text book.Whicker89My science teacher last year did that. UGHH cant stand people like that.
Yeah once, in algebra. She made a mistake on one of the problems and most of the class made the same mistake. So she told me I was wrong and to go do it again, and I did and got the same answer I did before and then she got mad at me because she said I wasnt trying so she sent me out of class. The next day I come in and she apologizes for sending me out because she found out she was wrong.
