I have only been to one Band Concert years ago and it was awesome, going on stage and the fans chairing on was electrifying. I want to go see, Rammstein a couple of years ago and these pics are old though.
Nope, only folk music concerts and only after meeting my wife since it's one of the styles of music she plays.
If I were to go, though, Rammstein would also be one of my choices =)
I wanted to go to ACDC in the gelderdome this year, the tickets i wanted to buy were $50 but when i got back to buy them the price risen about 600% so i had to skip it :(
one i really want to see is Rammstein, not only for the music but also for the pyrotechnic show!
@Celldrax: I've never seen Iron Maiden, I've always wanted too though.
Well although I did see them, it was from very far back and a tad obscured by peoples heads (though still unbelievably loud).
It was an all day festival and were the last to play the main stage. Was too buggered by then to try getting up close in advance.
Still got all giddy though when fear of the dark started and all the lights went down.
@Acillatem1993: I also enjoy getting my trance kick every now and then; is that surprising? =P
@dylandr: I drove by the GelreDome about 2 hours ago on the way to a client in Arnhem...she's the farthest client I have and since I got her on the "can't be picky, a client is a client" phase of my business now I feel bad telling her to bugger off. She pays travel costs but not the extra time. It sucks...

I'll tell you loud. When I saw Motorhead. I knew they were going to be loud, I had earplugs and everything. It didn't matter. I still still deaf about three songs in. At one point I had no idea what they were actually playing and just had to watch Lemmy's mouth moving to the words and I kinda figured it out. Even worse apparently was Man o War. From what I've been told they are disgustingly loud.

Man o War actually has (or had. Don't know if it's changed now) the Guinness record for loudest concert. And yeah, Motorhead was very loud also.
I've never worn earplugs though.
I know I obviously should. But that sort of loudness is just something you can't get at home...
I've seen AC/DC 7 times.I've also seen Megadeth,Ozzy,Iron Maiden. But I have'nt seen many concerts in my life, but I would like to see Rammstein before they retire one day.
I went to see W.A.S.P. a few years back. It was mainly to get my copy of The Crimson Idol signed. Rock concerts aren't my thing. I prefer symphonies.

They played a venue here in New Jersey, apparently the CUSTOM BUILT PA SYSTEM they brought over from Spain was so loud, it could vibrate your eyeballs. I didn't go to that show so I can't say if thats true but.. that would be a weird feeling.
My dad took me to an Eric Clapton concert when I was a teen and Paul Mccartney in high school. Not really a big fan of the two, but the concerts were fun.
Many times......first was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1977, others include Black Sabbath, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, Queen, Heart, Joan Jett, AC/DC, Whitesnake, Blue Oyster Cult, REM (x4), Rolling Stones (x2), Echo and the Bunnymen (x2), The Ramones, and Oasis through the early 1990's. Most of these bands I'm proud to say I saw in their prime. The Psychedelic Furs, an 80's band I saw a couple weeks ago are an exception.
I've seen Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Bad Company.
Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin (if they ever reunited) are the only concerts I have any interest in ever attending...I'm too old for concerts.
Many. Some of the more memorable ones:
Pink Floyd - Pulse (stunning)
Lollapalooza 1992 - Rage, Porno and Pearl Jam owned the show
Page and Plant
STP - Plush Tour (so good 90's STP)
NIN/JA
Been to too many local concerts to count. Decent local rock scene in Knoxville, too bad we just lost our only real rock station to country (among a sea of country stations, this is East Tennessee, after all). Not that I listened to it, I'm a Pandora guy, but they were really good about promoting local bands.
I'm jealous xD Rammstein would be fantastic to see in person! I've never been to any concert of any sort, unfortunately :\ I'd like to see Billy Joel though.. Idk if he's still good at performing due to his age. Chuck Berry would have also been sweet, but that man is actually OLD!
I've seen a couple bands that aren't too well known. Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, Against Me! and Anti-Flag. I'll be seeing ACDC in September. :)
I've been to a lot of concerts. Too bad im not really into metal these days:
-Megadeth
-Ozzfest 2000 (30 bands)
-Children of Bodom
-Various local bands on the west coast.
Been to a couple rock concerts (AC/DC (and once more this August), Bruce Springsteen (twice)) as well as a bunch of metal concerts (off the top of my head... Black Sabbath (once with Ozzy, once with Dio), Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Amon Amarth (twice), Kreator, Nile, Nevermore, Morbid Angel, and some more that I'm forgetting...)
It's funny, I've been to quite a few concerts, but the best one I've been to was by a no-name band at a house party held in someone's living room. I didn't know it until I went, but the group had a pretty committed local following.
They were actually pretty good (and fun), but the excitement of the crowd in such a small venue was what really made the experience.
Quite a few:
- Iron Maiden with Carcass and a few others.
- Deep Purple
- Dream Theater (3 times)
- Roger Waters
- Steven Wilson
- Motley Crue w/Buckcherry
- Yes & Asia
- Yngwie Malmsteen
- Ozzy Osbourne w/Halford
All of them have been awesome, but my top 3 are Dream Theater, Roger Waters, and Steven Wilson.
Some metal shows: Deicide, Gorguts, Ash Borer, Ceremonial Castings (3+ times), Esoteric, Disgorge, Suffocation (twice), Drawn and Quartered, and a bunch of other local acts.
Almost saw Ulcerate but my friend was busy that night so I didn't bother going. Most impressive act was Gorguts. Luc Lemay is ridiculously talented and easily one of the nicest human beings out there (he loves to socialize, interact with his fans, and make them feel noticed).
I absolutely recommend ear plugs. I stopped wearing them pretty early on and while most bands are respectful are everyone's hearing - there are a few bands and headliners that clearly want to establish they're "the loudest". The first Ceremonial Castings show I caught (which is the first show I caught) was some of the craziest volume ever. I could hear the bands playing in the little bunker of a venue they were a couple city blocks away. Once I got inside, it rocked my skull.

I would love to see most of those. Especially Steve Wilson <3
I've seen alot at Metal festivals but not really at their own concerts. I have seen at their own concert: Trivium, AC/DC, Paul McCartney, Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson.
At festivals: Tool, Rammstein, Muse, Iggy Pop, Mudvayne, Cannibal Corpse, Fear Factory + many many more.
