Hey, I just rented Twilight and watched it and it was OK, probably aimed at middle-schoolers, but not terrible, entertaining enough.

The girl character is pretty hot, actually, most of them. Never read the book. Don't care. I've read all the Harry Potters and the books were better than the movies, and they seem a bit similar.

No and I'm trying to avoid it at all costs, which is difficult since my girlfriend is obsessed with the book and film.

No, though I'm guessing I will eventually out of some sort of perverse curiosity. I'm a big fan of vampire lore and literature so seeing them butchered in such a way makes me want to cringe.

Yeah i sat down and watched it and thought it was alright. There were a few good things here and there but what really made me mad was that the sun didn't kill them it just made them sparkle. The acting was pretty bad at times to so overall i'd say it's a good movie to watch if you have nothing better to do.

I watched it, it was bad. Of course it doesn't deserve any praise or the sales it will get.

I saw it when it was still in theaters because a friend of mine wanted to see it really bad, and it was just awful.

You have a connection and the world of Harry Potter is real, run to the train station and run into that wall and just believe. Run with all your might.

The experience of watching Twilight was remarkably similar to what I imagine waking up without my testicles to be like. Mysterious, painless, yet disturbingly emasculating.

I don't plan on it and never will. I like my vampire movies where there's more than just a pretty boy on the poster pretending to be a vampire.

The location it was filmed, gave it a nice atmosphere, kinda of like with the old X files show.

So that made it watchable for me, and the chick was okay cute.

I understand that, but we all have our personal tastes. I tend to have a typical "twenty-something college undergrad" taste in film, and beyond this, I'm also a bit of a cinema Nazi. I'm currently going through the entire works of Fellini, and I just watched The Life Aquatic for the 20th time. In my opinion (which I will admit is arrogant), there is always a better film to watch than Hollywood trash like Twilight. Note that I weight 300 pounds and have never had sex.

I read and liked the books, so I saw the movie. The acting was pretty awful in some parts, and I was pretty sure Bella's front teeth were going to jump out of the screen and kill me, but other than that it was good. I kinda think of it the same way as Harry Potter- I like the books so I'll take what I can get in movie form.

I watched with my girlfriend, it is not terrible. Many people just feel insecure of themselves so refuse to see it. It is bearable though.

I'd have to agree about insecure people not liking or wanting to see this movie. I've heard so many guys complain about how the books/movie don't show what "real" vampires are like and actively complain about it to such an extent that you'd think they had some strange obsession with vampires. Surprisingly (but not too surprisingly) most of the same guys didn't care nearly this much about vampires until this movie came out. So they can complain all they want but I don't buy it. I've also heard guys complain about how Edward is a sick creep and any girl who likes him is mental, basically. THAT's where the insecure guys (and girls I guess) really show themselves, in my opinion. It's amusing.

The whole Twilight thing is just ridiculous. I've read all of the books and I've seen the movie, and they're all ridiculously lame, poorly done, and not creative. Somehow I've found the stories to be gripping enough to continue, but I can still acknowledge how lame they are.

I was a Harry Potter fan, but Twilight not really. Twilight is aimed more towards females after all.
