If not, you should. You won't see a funnier comedy this year.

Mark Wahlberg talks to a plastic tree. Yeah.

Actually, that might be a good idea. It might be hilariously watchable if you go in treating it like a comedy.

I wouldnt even want to waste the time opening my eyes to see this grabage movie. M.Night had The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable written up for ages before he released them and managed to perfect them. Everything else hes made has made me want to light myself on fire.

Well, it's certainly not the best movie I've seen lately, and most certainly not a good film for itself. It's just one of those commercial films that are simply made for one reason: entertainment. I'm not going to say this is a good film, but I had a good time watching it and certainly don't regret spending my money on it, but it's not the type of movie I would rewatch or buy on DVD. I have never been a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan, but this is probably my favourite film by him, at least I think he didn't screw up with the end of the film as he does with most of his pictures. One thing is for sure, though: I hate Mark Wahlberg.

What I'm trying to say is that in most of his films he manages to screw up everything at the end of the movie, and I didn't find the disturbingly bad twist ending in this one. It's just my opinion, though.

I've heard so many bad things about this film. Plus after sitting through Village and falling asleep during The Lady in the water, I'm seriously starting to think that his earlier success with The Sixth Sense was nothing more than a fluke.

I can't stand Shyamalan. I doubt any amount of unintentional comedy can save it..

I honestly felt that somebody else could have done the sixth sense better.

A friend of mine went to see it today and he said that it had the worst dialogue he'd ever heard in a movie. I'm definitely gonna pass on seeing it.

This movies concept of nature fighting back and global warming has been done before and better. Has Anyone else here seen the last winter? it was a horror film set in the arctic with ron perlman, it was also ruined by a stupid ending.

Well, I could definitely see it as a comedy. Just the title makes me laugh. And the trailers were pretty funny, "there are forces at work here beyond our understanding!" Maybe he should talk to a botanist...

It was alright. I'm not exactly sure how he (or anybody, for that matter) thought they could make an exciting movie about people running away from wind, though.

I read spoilers for it on the internet and I have to say it still supports my theory that M. Night Shyamalan is a crappy director and makes terrible movies

Yeah, when I saw the trailer for this film during Iron Man, I thought it was a comedy at first. "We lost contact." "With who?" "Everyone..." As soon as I saw it was and M. Night movie...I groaned. I stopped liking his films after The Sixth Sense....and Unbreakable and Signs were way too similar to the former.

I agree that it was entertaining to watch, but part of the reason was because I was sitting next to a girl who gets scared really easily with this type of film, causing her to hold on to me. Aside from the story, I think what really bugged me was Zooey Deschanel's acting, and her face is given a close up so often that her eyes started to annoy me.

Would someone please tell me how it ends? Ive made up my mind that I am not going to see it in theaters.

THe problem is...no one I know will see it in theaters, and I dont want to pirate it.

Basically, is Marky Mark like "oh my god, the plants released a toxin" or something? please be specific. cheers

I, too, would want to know if this film has some plot twist that explains the reasoning (or justification) for the film's plot.

People shoot themselves, stab themselves in the neck, get mauled by lions, jump off of buildings, lie down in front of riding mowers...it's pretty gory, but nothing like HOSTEL or any other horror movie. Maybe we've seen different trailers, but the ones I've seen def. scream "R".

Edit:

They also scream SUCK.

Why do people say a actor or actress is bad? They're forced to do what the director/writer wants.

I watched this movie on the internet. It was ok. Not totally bad, but I rather this movie get movie of the year rather than Kung Fu Panda.

If a animated film is going to be nominated for best film, games like Mass Effect and MGS4 should ahve a chance to win.
