Did you like it? And is it true thats it less harmful?

Hookah is great for when you are really stressed. I know that if I have had a stress fueled day, I can load up a bowl, smoke it, and get relaxed real quick.
I don't know if it is less harmful to you (smoking is harmful period) but from what I've read about it, it's a lot less addicting then smoking cigarettes.
i love smoking hookah, getting big hits is awesome. plus you can make some thick ass smoke rings with it.
No, I don't really participate in recreational drug use. I don't mind people who do as long as they don't brag about it.. like everyone should.

The second part is kinda fuzzy. I can personally attest to it not being very addictive, but then again I smoke cigarettes occasionally and I never experience the cravings other people describe. I've heard that it's worse for you because your intake of smoke is larger than if you smoke a cig, but I've also heard the argument that because they're not pakcing carcinogens into the tobacco like they do with cigs it's much less harmful.

I own two hookahs, and smoke cigarettes, so I can say with confidence that chain smoking cigarettes for an hour is worse than smoking hookah for an hour, in terms of how my lungs feel the next morning :)

hookah also smells and tastes better. although if i smoke too much too fast, it kinda gives me a headache.Hookah is the only type of smoking Ill do. Cant understand why people smoke cigs when you dont get like a high or drunk state..... you just get some uhh cancer. I dont smoke pot cause my friends that do sound like morons when they talk sometimes. If you do them things go ahead its just not for me.

You sir are incorrect, there is definitely a physiological response to smoking, ask any smoker, any real smoker (remembers Vin Diesel's speech from Fast And The Furious), it doesn't matter if you take one puff, or smoke a whole cigarette, you will feel it. If I go more than a day without smoking a cigarette then light one up, that first drag gets me light-headed to the point where I pretty much need to sit down.
no, but i've smoked some righteous weed in my time. not anymore though, that stuff messes with your psyche. drug frees the way to be...
yes, I've smoked a hookah. once with tobacco, once with weed. liked it both times (obviously teh weed was better). very relaxing, great conversation ensued. was me and 3 other friends. had some beers to go with it.
but like any method of smoking, it does have negative effects on health. but it is better than smoking cigs, since it passes through cold water so you aren't torching your lungs with hot air.

That would be because of the addiction you got from cig's. Your body will start lacking nicotine as you don't smoke and you must smoke a smoke to refill your nicotine.are we talking about smoking tobacco or weed out of a hookah? Because I believe that with tobacco, the smoke is much smoother and you're going to take larger hits because you don't feel it as much. That is a bad thing. But for weed that's a good thing.mohfrontlineThe smoke is smooth because it is thin, its not smooth as in smooth tasting. The smoke is thinner because its filtered through water.

But the difference is that smoking gives the 'high' (more like a relief, yeah?) as a side-effect while drugs and alcohol have it as the main effect.[QUOTE="10thwonder"][QUOTE="-eddy-"] That would be because of the addiction you got from cig's. if you smoke cigs just to get an occasional crappy high, then you are a fool. just smoke weed for gods sake and youll get high every time with far less of a health defectif you smoke cigs just to get an occasional crappy high, then you are a fool. just smoke weed for gods sake and youll get high every time with far less of a health defectStanley09
(In Mr. T voice) "I pity the fool who doesn't know what he is talking about." THIS GUY ^. It's not crappy, it is actually very satisfying and allows me to still operate heavy machinery :P Also, I can't go to the patio at my work and light up a fat blunt, I don't know why , I guess my employers are just weird like that....
[QUOTE="Theokhoth"]care to elaborate? No, and no, it is a myth that hookah is less harmful than cigarettes.
TheNomad1375
What's to elaborate? Hookah smoking is no less dangerous than cigarette smoking. They both contain nicotine, and one hour with a hookah pipe can have over 100 times more smoke than a single cigarette.

You could go off on lunch break and do it though, no? I used to do that doing telemarketing, and if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have made it through the first week at that job.But then I figured out that I could smoke at lunch, and finish the day off talking to all you hang-ups and redials with ease :Ptrust_nobody
I guess I could, but I always enjoyed eating brownies instead, reduces the chance of someone sniffing me out.
