Have you thought of a New Years Resolution yet?
Mine is 'to be more economical with my words'

More economical with words...interesting way to put it. I don't usually make resolutions, but next year....I'm going to....stop smoking. Yes, I'm ready.
I don't do New Year's Resolutions. The way I see it...if I'm resolving to do something important, then there's no reason to wait until the new year. And if I'm just making up **** just so that I HAVE a "New Year's Resolution", then I don't really want to do that thing anyway. Which means that I'm not gonna do it. That'll just lead to me feeling bad in February or March, once I realized that I've violated my New Year';s Resolutions.
So...if I admit beforehand that I'm not going to keep those resolutions anyway, then I'm better off simply skipping that step and not making New Year's Resolutions at all.
I resolve to build on the (small) successes of 2010, to have faith in my creative abilities, and make something more of them.
Essentially, writing has really taken off for me this year. During the first half, I gave up on amateur photography. In Oct, I decided to go down a different route and my efforts have turned a few heads.(Amongst people I regard as experienced writers.) Over the coming months, I wish to enter regional competitions and see where it takes me.
Noting down self-made policies has thus far not improved my ability to adhere to them. Hence, I haven't made any for pretty much every year past the age of 10.
[QUOTE="poseidonwest"]How are you going to do that?! :D I shall start off by walking into a funeral wearing a clown suit and handing out goodie bags to everyone. My resolution is to be more fun :D
