Have you thought of going all digital with your media?

I think im gonna go all digital. I just dont like how the media you buy becomes something useless that takes up space, when your not using it. Its so much nicer to have everything digital. Its so much more convenient too. I feel like I want to get rid of all my physical media and start a clean slate with digital media.

Your thoughts on Limewire are still in the past, right? And I'm slowly moving to digital. No point in carrying around a bunch of CD's/DVD's.

I should add in that for gaming, I like physical copies for my 360, and tend to have games stored on my laptop. Once I get a gaming PC (and will have a reason to buy "real" games for PC), I'll get physical copies of games for that.

Nope. I mean some stuff I am alright going with digital copies of such as small games, music videos, or music which by indie bands which will not be released on CD anyways. But generally, no. Blu-Ray still kills just about any digital content out there at the moment. Audio CD's are still a value to me seeing as I like having a packaged item, a source where I can pull hi-quality audio from. With a lot of my music, I will rip a copy from the original CD at like 128 or 160kbs for use on an iPod, because it is just good enough to listen to on the road or through headphones. But I like to have a master copy somewhere. And due to hacking, downtimes, privacy issues, ect... I don't fully trust the whole "cloud experience". I really don't feel comfortable putting anything more than some digital art, research papers I write, powerpoints, some pdfs and some backups of audio on a service that I don't have total control over at all times. Plus, when you don;t have access to the internet, or its down, you don't have your content.

Just pointing this out. As Choas stated: That's what hard-drives are for. I also wouldn't trust my stuff with anyone else anyway.

No. I'm a fairly avid collector of physical media of all varieties. Only time I'll buy digital is if it's a really good deal.

I'm pretty much almost there. If I get back into PC gaming and get some sort of reader, I probably will be.

Nah. I like the feeling of collecting and I don't trust my stuff floating in some sort of imaginary space. Yes, you can back things up on harddrives, but what about when the machines rise up?

Not switching to eBooks until they stop printing paperbacks. For music/games/etc. though I'm switching entirely to digital.
