What's the best brand to get? Is Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera juice any good? Because that's the only brand they have at my local wal marts and they seem to be the only place to have aloe vera juice. Also does the berry version of Fruit of the Earth's aloe vera juice any good? Here are the ingrdients:

People bring up the idea to ask your doctor, but, you bring up nothing medical. You're simply asking what's a good brand to buy, and my recommendation is to just get a bottle that's as pure aloe vera as possible -- there's no need of any flavoring or anything else added, unless you don't like the taste (which, personally, I don't think is bad). Aloe vera is aloe vera, so no need to be too picky on brand. As far as health benefits go, research is limited, but as far as we know, it shouldn't kill you to try it and see if you like it, and if it helps out with any problems you're currently facing. Don't be drinking 8 glasses a day of it or anything, it is from a plant that has possible medical effects, and who knows what too much of it may due to your system in the short or long term. If there's any recommendations in regards to consumption amount on the back of the package you purchase, follow it.
For my quick background, I am in school for Exercise Philosophy and Health, and I have minimal experiences with aloe vera, so I feel comfortable giving you a start of a direction to go. Note, Supplements in the US are not legally considered drugs and are not regulated the same way drugs are. Before drugs are put on market, the FDA puts the drugs under clinical studies to see if the drug is safe, the side effects, if its effective, etc. The FDA does not do the same for supplements, and they are not required to show effectiveness or safety before marketing. The manufactures for supplements aren't even closely regulated, so there's no promise the ingredient in the supplement you're pruchasing is even truly there.
In the end, you're always taking a risk in regards to purchasing supplements. Buying from trusted sources like Wal-Mart and GNC are your best bet, but becareful with whatever you purchase in-the-end, especially there isn't many studies on the subjected supplement.
