Im not surprise by your comment. I've actually met alot of white folks who have told me that the reason they hate spanish is because of hearing mexicans. And these white folks were not racist at all, even dated a white girl who said the samething to me.

I think this is the most common accent. It's pretty neutral. The guy in the interview is Mexican born from foreign parents but he speaks it like your average Mexican.

Or you might mean the slang? I understand all latinamerican have their own slang not just Mexico. A lot of people don't use it I know I don't.

There are a lot of accents in mexico just like in America. This is just what most people will recognise as your go-to Mexican accent. Sort of like when people in the US think about the American accent. Are they going to say the southern accent? Or the ghetto accent? No. Probably the one on TV, news, etc. The one people will want to learn.

Now if you have a problem with the way ghetto mexicans speak or the slang then say that. I don't like a lot of the slang myself. In that I would agree with you that it tarnishes the language.
