colorado is a far bigger party school. Its nothing but skiing, drinking, smoking, and hot-tubbing.

You can have fun at any university. That's one of the last things that you should be considering when choosing a post-secondary institution.

I wholesomely agree with this. Your college/university experience can definitely be a fun period in your life, but don't let such distractions be a deterrent from your real goal which is your tuition. Universities are expensive nowadays so unless you are extremely lucky and come from a family that is paying your fees for you; make the 4 years+ count.

Of course this doesn't mean bury yourself in your studies completely. Having fun to relieve stress does wonders both physically and mentally, especially if you're being burdened by daunting challenges such as med-school acceptance like I am.:|

Penn State. If you do well, you could stand a decent chance of transferring to UPenn. If not, and you do well and graduate with good marks from your undergrad and decide you want grad school, Upenn could again be a real option.

All other things being equal or unknowns, there is something you should definitely keep in mind if you will be moving somewhere to go to school, and that is what the general area in the vicinity of the school is like (noisy urban, quiet suburbs, cold climate, warm climate, near parks, etc.) I think a lot of people overlook that when choosing a school. Remember that this is somewhere you will presumably be living for quite some time.

Penn state is short for Pennsylvania state university
