Have you tried removing your eye? It's easier to get it out without the eyeball still in the socket.

Oh no! This happened to my friend and she had to go right to the ER... That's only 'cause for some reason her eye started to bleed. o.O

Anyways, try getting it out the ways these people have listed... If that doesn't work, straight to the doctor.

I suppose you should try crying or using some eyedrops or something to get your eye wet - you may be able to get it out then. If not, then seriously go see a doctor to make sure it's not seriously lodged in there.

This is a very serious issue, just go to the hospital immediately. It may not be a big deal at all but this can be a very serious problem resulting in even blindnes of that eye so be extra carefull in this time.

My Dad did that a few years back. He had to go to Accident & Emergency. On another note, eww. It's because of stuff like this that I wouldn't want contact lenses. That, and the fact that I don't need them. >_>

Its impossible for the contact to roll into the back of your eye my opthamalogist told me that. I used to sleep with my contacts in for weeks until i ot pink eye from it, now i always take the out. The contact likely fell out without you noticing.

Q: Can my contact lenses roll up behind my eyes and get stuck there? - S.S., New Jersey

Seriously, absolutely not. The eye is basically a closed "pocket" that is totally separated from what lies behind. Contact lenses can and do slide off the cornea, the clear "watch crystal" covering the front of the eye, and they can also get stuck in the corners of the "pocket," but it is not dangerous, and the lenses can easily be removed once they are located. If you think you have a contact lens someplace in your eye, and you can't find it, call your eyecare practitioner. - Dr. Dubow

Just massage your eye, put it under the faucet, and blink a lot. You don't need to go to the doctor, it happens sometimes when you wear contacts.

That has happened to me loads of times before.

Just follow my 3 step guide.

1.) keep trying to get it out with your fingers. If you have tried a lot of times, and still can't even feel the contact then go to step two.

2.) Get a glass, fill it up with water. Go into the shower (take off your clothes). Hold open your eye with your fingers, and dump the water on your eye. It should wash out the contact.

3.) if both #1, and #2 don't work then i normally just leave it alone. The contact may have fallen out of your eye, and you never noticed. If you do decide to leave it alone then thats o.k. but if you start feeling anything weird (itchiness) , or seeing anything weird (redness) go straight to your eye doctor.

I myself have never had to go see my eye doctor because of that situation.

anyway hope that helped

Ouch! Make sure it hasn't just fallen out, if your sure it hasn't fallen out then wash your eye out. If it doesn't come out go see a doctor. If the doctor can't do anything then it can't be all that bad can it? If you try hard enough you might be able to see through the back of your eye

It got stuck in the corner of her eye and then as she tried to remove it, it got infected. So yeah. Go do a doctor TC.

That is different than going behind the eye. If it gets stuck in the corner of the eye you just flush it out with water, it happens to me all the time.

Just pour water into your eye and move your eyeball around so it'll come around. It's happened to me before and it was pretty simple to get it out. If it's not out by tomorrow and it starts hurting then go see a doctor, otherwise it's just a waste of money since they'll do the exact same thing.

Disregard most of the posts in here. This is not a big deal. It's probably under one of your eyelids or it may have even fell out without you realizing it. This has happened to me many times.

Guys, what's up with the advice you're giving the OP? I thought it was a joke at first, but the comments have continued.

Anyways, to answer your question OP, you shouldn't panic. Contacts CAN NOT roll back behind your eyes. More than likely, if the contact is trapped and you can't find it, it is most likely on the sides of your eye and can be extracted without damaging your eye or causing you any pain. Here's what I do and it usually works:

1) Stand in front of the mirror and close your eyes. Next, without moving/shifting your head, try to make your eyeballs look up/down as far as they go. Also try pointing your eyes side to side. This will cause the trapped contact to become free. Also, try rubbing the top and bottom of your eyelids to try and "feel" for were the contact might be trapped. Usually, the contact will be clumped together like a "taco" causing you the irritation. Just feel around. Keep trying for a while and if you realize you can't get it free, call up the doc. You should be fine, just don't panic. I did the first time it happened to me and almost made things worse.

Good golly this seems to happen frequently to a lot of people. Makes me not want to get contacts even more.

As for advice... go with the poster two down from me.

If you don't get it out now, it'll be impossible to remove. It's happened to me. After a while it'll make shelter and live on your eyeball. You can hear its TV playing all night =/

If it's not that far back, roll your eye back and try to get it to stick If that doesn't work, you HAVE to see a doctor. Oh, and you better hope you have insurance.

It's tough, but you'll be able to do it. Just move your eye or soemthing until it comes out. Hate it when they get in the very back corner of your eye. D:
