Help me break my shyness

So there's this girl on campus, I like her... her best friend tells me she likes me too... but doesn't know much about my personality... I mean I'm a pretty shy guy, I don't really know how to show some personality, I mean around girls my personality is just reserved... any tips on how to kind of break that ice and cure me of my shyness?

Make small-talk. You'll eventually become comfortable with her, and the rest will happen naturally.

i'm a shy person too, you know what always gets me going though is a few drinks or a few shots of liquor will do the trickandyboiii

If you really want to break your shyness I recommend you to work in aplace where you have to talk or greet the customers...like a server..trust me, it boosted my confidence, 1st day of college I heard some girls giggling and talking about how confident I was.Arctic_Grillz

If you know that she likes you then it should be easy, its only hard when you have to ask blindly.

1. Grow a pair of gonads.

2. Be assertive.

3. Wear your best shirt.

I gotta be honest, one thing Ive noticed about all the guys that get the ladies' attention is that theyre sorta goofballs.

I dont mean like "hyuk hyuk" goofballs Revenge of the Nerds style, but you know...they just make corny jokes, smile, and are nice.

As for your general shyness, I suggest a job with some sort of customer interaction. I was pretty shy my whole life, and I still am, but talking to strangers for hours on end at work makes it a lot easier to, at the least, initiate. I often find myself starting conversations with people I just met without even trying now.

TC I think you just need your friend to fix you up and break the ice. Just have your friend set up a group lunch date which includes your friend, the girl you are talking about and, obviously, yourself. Have your mutual friend introduce you to the girl and just start asking harmless questions, such as what classes she is taking, is she working, what does she likes to do, etc etc. By you keep asking her questions, you won't have to say much and allow you to side step your shyness. Then at the end of the lunch just get her digit and call her up to set something to meet again.

If your friend is right about her liking you, you have few reasons to worry
