I have 2 netbooks I am looking at. One is:

An Acer at Walmart for $298, with 2 gb memory and 250 gb hardrive.

Or:

An Eee pc at Best buy for $300 (trying to stay cheap as possible), with 1 gb memory and 160 gb harddrive.

I understand that i should get the Acer, but do Eee's run better?, and they both have windows xp home.

the walmart acer sounds like a better deal, with double the ram and much more harddrive

just get an actual laptop, why do you want to get into this new fad? you cant do much more on netbooks than go online and write in a word document.

lol, I thought the topic read "notebook" instead of "netbook." I'm not even aware of what a netbook is, sounds actually kind of like a bad deal/gimmick, like people who use their PSP to watch movies. seriously?
