Okay, I was sitting here tonight watching a movie, whne my dog started acting really weird, first she was kind of slipping, then she started bumping into things, and now she is just sitting still and having great difficulty trying to move. I tried to pick her up, but she paniced and i dropped her. She is sitting on th efloor righ tnow, panting very hard. Trying to move occasionally, bu she can only move inches backwards and cant really stand up.

I am home alone, I have already called my parents and they are on their way home. I am very upset though, and worried about my dog.

Has this happened to anyone before?... I am extremely concerned and upset.

Possibly a heat stroke. Get her some water. Was she in some intense heat or laying in the sun today?

Take it to a vet. This does not sound very good at all.

It could also be a seizure. I have two epileptic dogs and they get seizures every once in a while. Sadly if its a seizure you just have to wait it out. My dog's seizures last anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Take it to a vet. It's also a possibility it was some form of seizure. There are alot of possibilites, but water is not a bad idea. Only the vet can really tell you though.

Well shed already be at a vet if I could drive, my parents are on their way home though, I just kind of needed somewhere to vent so to speak.

I fear the worst though, that thesed might be my last few moments with my dog. I am very worried.

Yeah and, when they accuse you of wasting their time, explain that they're already here and might as well help now. >.>

Make a parody thread off of this then your dog will recover via LuLz.

Doublecheck if the dog hasn't eaten something bad (e.g. drain cleaner) and check if the dog is breathing without any obstruction.

Sounds like its dehydrated. If its gums are really white and pale ish and not red then its definately dehydrated. Can also be constapated with blocked colon or even worse, cancer. I suggest get it checked out if the dog doesnt get better soon

I appreciate all the kind comments, it really helped to calm me down a bit.

The vet things she either had a stroke or has vestibular disease, he is running more tests though, so we don't know for sure. All I know is that she is going to be okay. I feared the worst for a while there...

This happened to my dog too. He started acting really weird, like he was drunk or something. It turned out he ate some cat food and he was allergic to it and that made him act all weird. He's OK now though. Hope your dog gets better.

Have you ever seen Rob and Big? This happened to their dog once because it swallowed a large bone.

Your dog probably swallowed a bone or something.
