Help with really shy people?

There's this girl that I like, but she's really shy. I want to try to have a really good & informal conversation w/ her without dominating the entire conversation, being the relatively talkative person I am.

I also don't want to ask questions the entire time, either, BTW.

Really shy girls are tough to have conversations with. All you can do is encourage her to talk about herself.

It's going to take a while and it's going to be tough. How do you see her? Are you guys co-workers, classmates, friend of a friend? I used to be shy and the only time I really felt like speaking up is when others conversed around me, so through people trying to include me into these conversations I gradually got over the anxiety. I can't tell you where to begin on a one on one basis, however.

if you smile a bit more, maybe that can help her feel more comfortable.

say hi and just act nice around her and start trying to work with her or whatever, you have to break the ice and everything flows smoothly

Just remember, if it turns into an interrogation because you have to ask her so many questions to get her to talk, just end the date and don't waste your time.

Just try to be funny.

That brings people out of their shells.
