your parents should have more control over their child and tell him when he can and cant play the game.

Try talking to him when he's not playing. Like over dinner. Arrange a day out with your parents, and just spend time with each other, going out, having fun, etc. Preferably spend some time outdoors, playing some sports, etc. He'll see pretty soon that the fun to be had in the game is nowhere near the fun to be had in real life. That is of course, if you continue to be there/do stuff with him.

Don't sabotage... That's stupid. It's a short term solution. If you do, he will just find another "obsession."

Bash the computer with a hammer. That should get his attention.

Tell him how much of a loser he is, he'll eventually burn out and become uninterested.

This may sound harsh, but I think the only thing you can do is don't let him use the computer. If he makes a temper tantrum, discipline him. Seriously, if you don't do it now, it might get worse in the future.

Also, you have to look at the reasons for why he is so addicted. Could it be that he is lonely? Maybe problems at school? etc.

Educate him, what else?

In all seriousness though, online-game addictions are a very serious issue and should NOT be taken lightly!

You need to teach him to do the responsible thing and start restricting his game time by himself.

Simply restrict his play-time to a couple of hours per day (or whatever figure you see as more fit) and tell him that if you catch him playing even a minute more that he's allowed to, you'll simply take the power cord for, say, a week...

And while informing him on all this, remain as calm as possible, even if he'll go berserk - the important thing is to show him that his hysterics won't get him anywhere, so don't show him that his screaming is taking any effect on you!

Eventually he'll learn to be responsible with his time.

P.S.: Knight-Online? Of all the crappy free-to-play MMO's, he gets addicted to this?

Don't listen to the other idiots. The LAST thing you should do is make fun of him. You need him to trust you, to understand that he could have more fun doing stuff with you and his friends than in the game. As for not being able to get him outside...EXCUSES...like I said, talk to your parents about it, and plan a whole day out.

Listen, sabotaging his connection isn't gonna do any good. The only responsible thing you can do is to teach him take responsibility for his own life.

One way to do it is my method, but the key is to teach him restrict his game time by himself...
