You know, you could supposedly prove a lot of things with that kind of logic.
None of the men that were devout Jews celebrated birthdays....only the pagans did.
[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor24"]I don't suppose you have proof that jesus never celebrated his birthday? Christmas isn't his birthday. It's the winter solstice, that was hijacked by the Church. Why do you celebrate Christmas when Jesus Christ never celebrated it?

I dunno, why do you Chirstians practice symbolic cannabalism?
my_mortal_coil
Let me just point out that it's not ONLY symbolic. Certain Christians believe that they are LITERALLY eating Jesus.
Not to get into a religious battle or anything, since I find that stuff to be pretty petty. People can believe in whatever helps them to be better people. If that's Islam, Christianity, Judaism, or atheism, then why should I care?

Not all of us do. Atheists of European descent or culture do, but that's really irrelevant to us. Also, because the calendar(s) of western civilization were made up decades and centuries after the death of Jesus, the truth is Christians don't count the years with any real accuracy either if they are basing it off of a specific point in his life. Also, Jesus was born in the Spring (according to the Bible), not on Christmas; you folks don't even have that right.

No he did not.
If he did, the Jews would have classified him as a Pagan.
[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor24"]Didn't Jesus celebrate his birthday? I don't know, but I do know he did not celebrate pagan holidays like the winter solstice. Just pointing out that there is always a form of cross-over or adoption between cultures/religions. Cannibalism was ritualized in many pagan religions most often associated with death rites.
Also, crucifiction was a form of torture used by non-christians a long time before the Bible turned it into thee symbol of Christianity ...
