I'm 14 years old and I was going to go with a friend to a metal concert, but neither of us have been to one before. Ceremonial Castings is playing at 8:30 PM tomorrow at this venue located near the airport in Seattle (where I live), but I don't really know the process, what prices to expect, or anything of the sort. I don't even know if the place is some bar or something. Can anybody here help me out?

Don't think about it much, just go to the place and have some fun.

Well get a ticket beforehand.......if you like to headbang head for the front, moshers in the middle pretty much...........$20 or less for a ticket, same for a t-shirt.

You should first check to see if the place has an age-limit. That would be the worst, taking a bus or something to get there only to find out you can't get in.

Usually I get tickets through my local ticket service, so check to see if you haven't missed that (and if they are selling at the door, hope you aren't at the back of the line).

Have fun, dude.

Prices? I dunno, $15 - $25 a pop? I remember going to a punk show in my city years ago costing $6. I recently bought tickets @ $45. The prices vary by band and venue.

It won't be a bar most likely. Not sure what kind of place it is by the link, but it should be fine. It's all ages right? If you're over 21 they give you a wristband to buy alcohol, if they will be selling any.

Just do yourself a favor, stay out of the pit. Skirt the edges, and if you're feeling daring, run in, slamdance around a bit and get out.

Dont wear anything spikey or bouncers at front could take it. At one concert one was so anal that they took my wallet chain but let a guy next to me in with a full chain mail body armor(not joking) Other than that, stay away from the marijuana, might get lucky and some ladies shirts will come off. Probably not though... that only happened at mudvayne and slipknot for me. Big bands.

edit: Price varies by how big the stage is usually. I went to a fair and saw Atreyu recently for $5 a ticket. Mudvayne cost me over $20, slipknot around $20

You should get a ticket before hand and check the age limit. Go there, have fun in the mosh pit. Rock out like crazy.

How long before hand are you speaking? And from what I've read in forums, this place is all-ages, yet it baffles me that this venue has none other than a private Myspace page. And thanks, I plan to. :D

I've been hit by Knuckle Duster by one of those asses who hardcore dance. Hardcore dancers are losers.

Well, down in Australia, things are different here. I'm about the same age as you (15) and I've been to two concerts (Bon Jovi and Dragonforce, by the way) without a problem. Still, check the age limit, watch where you put your drinks, and make sure you have someone, like a friend, go with you. There's nothing worse than having no outside contacts if something should go wrong.

If any of the musicians over you a ride in their car refuse it immediately because its going to be heading straight for a hotel swimming pool and not where you'd want to go.

Well, no offense, but I'm not into that kind of music. I only went to the Dragonforce concert to see them play Through The Fire And Flames live, just to see how hard it is on a real guitar. Yeah, I'm one of those who heard about them from Guitar Hero 3...

Not just any metal, but black and death metal. Age has nothing to do with anything though.

Just check and makes sure the show is all ages. You should have no problem. Just go up to the biggest dude you see flailing around and bump him. Its called the happy dance, and he'll show you the moves.

Whatever you do, do NOT fall down in a mosh pit.
