Hi guys, this is something about the R6V preview of GAMESPOT, me and my mate went into an argument about one sentence, the sentence is:
"While the single-player campaign looks as solid as it did in the Xbox 360 version....."

Well, while I believe "as solid as" mean as good as,his think the word "solid" somehow lead to "solid framerate".
Since nither of us speak english(as mother language),I hope to seek some help from here, since most of the people here do speak english from bron.

Is there any relationship between "as solid as" and "solid framerate" in this case?Or is it just some silly thought get cross a fanboy's mind?

as solid as in the sentence that you dont fully understand means "as good as" for the most part...it has nothing to do with the framerate....it just says that the ps3 version's singleplayer campaign is just as good as the 360 one

Your first interpretation is definitely the correct one. "Solid," depending on how it is used, can basically mean "good" or "well-made," so the meaning here is "The quality of PS3 version's single-player campaign is as good as XBOX360 version's." If it said "The game has a solid framerate," that would most likely mean a smooth and steady framerate, but as you pointed out, there is no mention of framerate in this sentence, so that's not the meaning here.
