So im starting to DJ now (3 months in, im still a novice if anything) and i've been mixing a bit lately and as much fun it is to blast great songs that we've all heard i find those songs no one's ever heard are much more satisfying to play, and since im always trying to add to my ever expanding library, i wanted to know if any of the good people of GS would happen to have even a couple ofthat they think are awesome but are underground? I love all genres of electronica, so techno, house, trance, dubstep, (happy) hardcore, drum 'n' bass, chillout, and whatever other dance tunes you guyshave would be really great

these days its pretty hard to get known so im trying to gather as many tools as possible to use when i start doing steady shows so anything & everything you guys have is appreciated

thanks again,

DJ Solus

Oh baby. You came to the right place, my friend.

Infected Mushroom

Pendulum (ignore the music vid)

Kids Dubstep Remix

Crystal Method

Stanton Warriors Remix of Rye Rye (****ing crazy)

DANGER Remix of OneRepublic (One of my favorites)

Terranoise (Might be too crazy, you tell me brah)

Dexcell Remix of Ellie Gould (Kinda a happy, energetic one)

Bassnectar (IDK about this one, its a hit or miss)

Dude, a really good place to find all these hidden gems is Hypem.com It's a site that scours all these different blogs for fresh music then puts it all into one site. To find the good ones, just go to the most popular section.

Melissa - Snakeskin

Cinderella - Snakeskin

This is the only real underground Electronica I know, I doubt anyone has heard of this. Kind of Dark or Gothic Electronica.

Have you ever heard of she?

she - coloris

she - chiptek

she - kicks

she - nebula

The cool thing about she is that nearly all of their albums are available for free download at their official site.

Also there are a lot of gems at newgrounds. Check their audio portal.

I think I'll also submit this while I'm at it:

Ein Hauch von Menschlichkeit - Lacrimosa

It's not dance-able, but it's definitely Electronica. It's a song from the founder of Snakeskin's main band, which is actually a Symphonic Gothic Metal band; I dunno why he made an electronic song, but it's awesome.

This will all be DnB..not underground artists, so you may know most (or even all) of these artists. Just going to list some of my favorites.

Matrix & Futurebound - "Coast to Coast" ..also really like their remix of Nu:Tone's "System" (great vocal track.)

Muffler - "Hear Me Scream"..just a beautiful tune; really chill. Heard it featured on Hospital's "Sick Music" ..which is just a fantastic album; so many good tracks. Get it if you don't own it.

State of Mind - "Sunking"..nice NZ-based duo.

Sub Focus - "Follow The Light"..this kid is actually pretty well-known, think he topped UK charts with "Rock It" (which is alright, much prefer this tune though.) Really like what he did with the album version of this track..the vocals make it perfect.

Concord Dawn - "Never Give Up On Love"..NZ-based group. This track has a bit of a different sound to it. Vocals go well with the music. "Man For All Seasons" is another of my favorites.

Calyx & Teebee - "Warrior"..awesome intro/build-up to a tune with some nice energy. Love it. "The Divide" is another good one from the same album.

Logistics - "Intervention"..just..perfect. I love how the sounds in this weave together, feels simple and deep at the same time. Logistics is one of my absolute favorite producers. "Transporter" is another great one. You could try his track "Raygun" if you like house, heh.

Anyway, hopefully you'll see something you like. Linked to many of these on OT before, I think.

I just remembered two more artists from different genres:

Sussie 4

Buddha Bar

I'm not very familiar with either, but what I've heard was really good. I think Buddha Bar is not so much an artist, but a compilation of different Chill Out artists.

Here's some Electropop by Belanova, as well, in case you're interested:

Miedo

Me Pregunto

Te Quedas O Te Vas

I don't know how "underground" these songs are, but here:

House - Professor Kliq:

website

Myspace for some samples

Trance - Dj Fire-Black

Download link

Jackal Queenston and Mayhem

sample

The thing about Jackal Queenston is, I've never actually be able to find any place I can get his music. You probably have to buy it.

EDIT: Industrial - Heet Seas

Yeah. Jackal, The Queenstons, Mayhem, Furries in a Blender, Renard, Azrael, Kitsune^2, and Klippa are all from the same guy (Renard). I remember on his old site, it was possible to find the mp3 files from that particular song's streaming page (Renard said he really didn't care if people did this, since the sound quality was lower than the quality from the store). Not sure if that's possible on the new site. He does have some free albums on there though.

Yeah, I guess I've never looked too deeply into him (I didn't even know Jackal and The Queenstons where separate names :P). I just stumbled across it one day.

Haha. Renard was a regular on a forum I used to lurk, so that's the main reason I know him.

Lmao. I didn't know that Renard made a song dedicated to Team Murder.
