I was expecting more fire and brandt from her speech tonight but it sound concilliatory. What gives and what are your critique of the speech.

I just died in your arms tonight, must have been something you said.

"I came."

Why wouldn't she give up? She's been fighting an unwinnable battle for two months now.

Seriously? I think she's been right in there for a long time, but I think everyone is starting to concede that Obama will most likely get the Dem nomination in a couple months.

She's going to take Kentucky easily. Neither will have enough delegates to secure the nomination before the DNC.

Policies aside, I am really surprised that she is not beating out a black man in the US. In the UK during the Reagan era you had a female (Maggie Thatcher) in power, and she was the equivalent to a US Republican! Based on that alone, I would think that the ignorant US populace would prefer a white woman over a black man, but that does not appear to be the case- Amazing! Could it be that the US redneck contingency of today is indeed more informed and intelligent than I give them credit for?...or is it really just that they would rather see a man in power than a woman, in which case I give them too much credit?! Obviously McCain is too much of an embarrassment for anyone to take seriously, so what gives?!

She's conceding? Yay, this calls for victory music! (Keep in mind that I'd take McCain over her, which is quite a statement, given how people negatively associate him and his policies with Bush.)

I'm sure she'll give up soon, unless she feels like pulling him down with her so that if she can't win, he can't either in the fall.

I think both Hilary AND Obama realize that Obama is going to win. I mean he is barely talking about her anymore, he is more focused on beating mcain at this point.

Obama 08! (Even though I am not old enough to vote...and I'm in Japan....although technically since I'm an American and Japanese citizen I would be able to vote for both as long as I don't kill anyone and get sent to court)

She would really have to win the rest of the states with 100% of the vote to surpass Obama in the delegate race, all she is doing now is hurting the party by dragging this on.

The Demo's can't be hurt at this point as it's obviously a one-horse-race.

Obviously McCain is too much of an embarrassment for anyone to take seriously, so what gives?!pOOPYpANTZ
Because much of the "redneck contingency" doesn't have any say in the Democratic primaries.

Thank you for that, and pardon my lack of knowledge about US politics. The climate you are portraying seems very skewed- A (seemingly) major portion of the populace isn't even part of the vote? I don't quite understand? Is it just that certain States aren't allowed to vote for certain parties or what is going on? Note that this will be part of my A-Level dissertation...

what I'm saying is no redneck is going out to vote for anyone in the democratic party, they spend all there time focusing on the republican party. This is the primaries, its a time for dems to pick there favorite candidate and republicans to vote for theirs.

Obama and Hillary are campaigning for who will be the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, for the general election in November. For the most part only registered voters who belong to the Democratic Party are allowed to vote; although some states have exceptions to that and allow independents and Republicans to vote as well. But for the most part its mainly just democratic party members voting The Democratic party is the "liberal" party in America, so you don't get the "redneck" vote included in the results.

It is interesting that you should say this as I have spoken to a great many Americans online who claim that they always voted Republican in the past, but for the first time they are voting Democratic...so much so to the point that it would almost seem like a paradigm shift to me...what do you make of this?

Face it people, the republicans are gonna win it. At first, it wasnt looking good for us. But then we all rallied behind one candidate very quickly, taking us out of the eye of scrutiny and allowing ourselves to recooperate. Meanwhile, the democrats have waged a near unending war against eachother that has brought out quite a lot of ammo for the republicans and it has caused a huge shift in the political scheme. McCain now leads in general election polling, against both candidates, at last check. Obama will be hard pressed to recover, and McCain himself is no pushover, so when he's going up against McCain instead of hillary, dont expect things to drasticly improve for dems all of a sudden.

Obama had to defeat the clear frontrunner who was banking on the biggest name in the democratic party. I don't think it will be nearly as easy as you illustrate it. Obama had to overcome a lot, which he did. McCain got the nomination on a silver platter.

I want Hillary to win, I don't like Obama. I love how people say he is so charismatic and will bring about change, does anyone actually know what change? Nope, according to CNN. They surveyed a few thousand people, and even had some random clips from people on the streets. Not one person could say what they liked about Obama, or what he intended to change. Can't say I am shocked, Americans don't know anything.
