It all about the money now. How often your favorite movie that was Rated R turn into profit making PG-13? For example, the Die Hard series..all three movies was Rated R..and the fourth one was PG-13.
"The reason? R is increasingly becoming Hollywood's scarlet letter, the rating no would-be blockbuster wants. It scares parents and cuts out the whole swatch of under 18 movie goers. If it means higher profits, studios have no qualms about lobbying the Motion Picture Association of American (MPAA) for lower rating. And often, the MPAA has no problem granting their wishes.
The movie that suppose to be Rated-R...they try to push and bring it down to PG 13 rating. For example, despite graphic scenes of violence, "The Dark Knight," the latest, darkest installment of Batman franchise, only got a PG-13 rating, which resulted in over $400 million gross sales and still growing... this is a good thing though.
What do you think of this?
