You hate 3D, or you hate the current method producing 3D effects? This thing is about as close as you can get to real life, as it will use two screens, as opposed to splitting an image displayed on one screen.interesting peice of tech i'll give you that
but i hate 3d and gameing in 3d will just piss me off

This device would not be 3D effects, it would be pretty much like real life. All the problems people complain about with 3D (people with less manly eyeballs than myself, apparently. :D) are related to the way two alternating images are rapidly displayed on a single screen, and the way that they are separated for each eye. This device has a separate screen for each eye. The eye wouldn't be fooled into constantly refocusing.[QUOTE="Tylendal"][QUOTE="almasdeathchild"]

It is probably amazing, honestly...the problem is that if you haev giant parties and social settings this won't replace a TV. OLED's are amazing though, I've known that for years. I was excited to see the VITA sports that tech.
I saw a Star Trek Episode where Wesley Crusher had one of those SONY 3D OLED headsets you posted in the OP.
Star Trek, if you didn't know, is actually a documentary footage of the future sent from a wormhole...most people, I'm surprised to hear, didn't know that.
I'd like to know that as well, in regards to your side note. It's an interesting concept but as someone already said, it won't replace your TV for social viewing.Tech is cool

On a side note, if your near sighted, would you need to still wear your glasses:question:

Well I'd make them all hard cover, arrange them alphabetically and have them each in their own little sections from Patristics to History!

You're right, that is pretentious. LOL[QUOTE="ConkerAndBerri2"]Do you even know what epilepsy is? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZzTpjh-NsQ Is that a link to the "Paka Paka Effect"? Because if it is, you should take that down..you could end up hurting someone. Edit: nevermind.[QUOTE="kuraimen"]you also get epilepsykuraimen
I'm sure it won't be very impressive eitherl. They had these TV glasses back when I was a kid. My friend had them like 15 years ago. Obviously the picture will have vastly improved but the effect of the "huge screen" doesn't actually work.Looks cool, but I have a feeling that the reality would be far, far less impressive than the commercial.

It looks really cool, but I think I'll just stick with the TV I already have :P Besides, I can watch some HD on that, and that's enough for me ^^
This will also never catch on because you have to have one for every person to view. You can no longer just watch TV with the family. You all have to have one and you might as well not even be watching it with anyone because you're physically plugged in and tuned off from the rest of the world. These are just a gimmick.
