Hey, I am a 24 year old man just out of college.

I did quite well in college and am now an accountant. I also have a CPA and a masters degree in accounting.

However, I never had many friends at all in college. In fact I only had 1 friend and no girlfriend. I lived at my parent's home in college to save money, went to the lectures and came home. No parties or anything.

Almost everyone I work with is far older than me. I feel like I have to change or else I will live and die alone. What are some good places to make friends and find a partner? What are appropriate places to come up to random people and talk to them. Would it be bars, or night clubs etc?Which one is best? Thoughts?

Guys, to meet girls (and people in general) you just have to do stuff. Do things that involve more than a single night's commitment such as joining a club, volunteering at a non-profit, or taking a class for fun (not an academic class, something like painting or golfing where you can talk).

And then talk to the people that are there with you. Enjoy the conversations, laugh, and have some fun.

That's it!

STDs aren't exclusive to Tinder. There are a lot of women on there that aren't using it just to get laid. There are those that are looking for a relationship.

I met my current girlfriend through a mutual friend. I don't have many friends but I've got a few good ones, mostly those I met in High School and then reconnected with after college. Call an old friend up, it may surprise you.
