how big is your music collecton and your age

Man, what happened to number of albums or CDs? It is just measured by number of songs now?

Btw, I have about 350 CDs and about 100 or so LPs.

how do you rent songs? do you use that rhapsody thing where you get to fill an mp3 player and keep the songs for a month for $9.99?

Acutally 86k is just my MP3's cds i probably have about 100. I havent heard all of them, maybe about half and i have liked about half of the half so far. i currently keep them in a 500 gig hardrive but im actually getting another 500 gig HDD this weekend and another Itunes library to copy:D

Because one of my buddies works for a certain online music download store. He made a copy of one of theri libraries and i made a copy of it for myself and im doing that again this weekend:D

As awesome as free stuff is.. that seems somewhat pointless! It will take you forever to listen to that much, and its possible you wont like a load of it and it'll be a massive waste of time. I love finding new music that I like but I wouldn't have the patience to listen through 86k+ tracks :?

I'm young and I agree with you, it's all about the carbon copies. I've got downloaded music but the basis of my collection and most of my music comes from cd's and the like

Im 26 years old and i have 150 cds and on my computer i have 4,300 songs witch is 12.3gbs and a lot of them are from cd that are in my cd case that i riped on to my pc. just so i dont have to carry my cd case to my pc repair shop. all i have to do is take my laptop out there and all of my music are accessible to me to play and to listen to. It beats having to change out cd or listen to the radio stations. ( i live in a small town and only have 3 radio stations and none of them are worth listening to) so i listen to my music on my laptop when im working in my shop

... and I'll bet most of them are just wasting space and shouldn't have been collected in the first place.
