Either that, or write blogs for yourself. Many chicks (especially pre-teen chicks) write private diary entries every day and don't allow ANYONE to read them. Your blog could be sort of like the same thing, except on the internet. Just you writing for you.

Just get more active. Go to some of the game forums, OT, system forums, and so forth. If you present yourself as a decent person, you'll eventually get more friends. Joining unions is also a great way to drastically increase the number of your friends.

you've had this acount for 3 years? you on;y have 17 posts...maybe that has something to do with it...
Track people who post comments you like, then post your own blog once or more a week. Comment in their blogs and they might comment back. boom, friends. Just keep your blog up to date or no one will comment. Then, you see them posting in forums and be all, hey buddy, I know you!
Just track everyone. Eventually, a select few will stand out. That's how I did it. Until I ended up with too many and couldn't remember names and couldn't keep up with my friends' blogs. Then I got rid of the people who never logged on and whatnot. Now I'm starting over.

Be nice, be yourself and be active and people will begin to notice you. Just ignore the bad and look for people who are nice back and track them, comment on their blog and such and you will begin to have the wonderful world of net friends:P
