San Francisco's city government has always been corrupt and at times even prides itself on its shady past. Though nowadays it's city officials are just too progressive and hippy liberal to the point that nothing ever gets done even when the ideas that get voted down are some of the most common sense things that needed to get voted and passed.
Not too much corruption. More or less just plain stupidity. When you have to spend thousands of dollars on our highways to build these short stubby fences to protect turtles from being run over.... then that's a problem. But that is my state, not my city. In terms of city corruption, there was a politician trying keep to board presidencies at once. That didn't go too well for him.
well my city is not corrupt but i live like 20 miles away from St. Louis missouri and their previous governer, Rod Blagojevich, tried to sell obamas senate seat to the highest bidder. plus he has been charged with numerous corruption charges. then Roland W. burris was going to take Blagojevichs seat and turns out he was in on it with blagojevich in trying to sell obamas senate seat.

I can totally top you, I'm in Michoacan and they arrested the president for making deals with drug dealers, I guess you've seen it, it's all over the news.

We had a 13 year old sexually assault a woman here recently and we're a meth pump apparently. I've never been subjected to this sort of stuff, since I stay out of the bad parts of town.
Calgary AB doesn't really have any corruption, just stupid social conservatives who can't run the city properly. Within the past year there has been a huge increase of homelessnes and unemployment.
My little city is nowhere near corrupt. The doors to your car can be left unlocked overnight and nobody would open them to steal something as small as a stick of gum.
I know how the councils are run and everything that goes on in them, since half my family has worked in sections of it for over 7 years. Overall, nothing too harmful, mainly tricks and lies that the top grades use to keep themselves in the job or get another pay rise. Things got shaken up a bit when all the councils of Cornwall merged into one, in some ways it's been considered a hostile takeover. Although the workforces such as binmen, rangers, wardens and cleaners were totally unaffected by this, many admins and office staff found themselves out of a job, as someone else from Cornwall Council (which are the group who basicly wanted to merge all the councils together in the best interests of running cornwall) now have more responsibilities and a much higher paid jobs.
But the end result, things get done, our council is active, sets out goals and goes to achieve them.
Amsterdam - Not corrupt at all I think, Criminality also isnt unusually high, but we do have a high percentage of "crazy people" due to legal weed and prostitution. Manila - Nuf said. To ellaborate for the people who dont know: After the spanish and american colonization the philippines felt victim of several corrupt Presidents including the infamous Ferdinand Marcos who embezzled and frauded billions of US dollars, till now we had high hopes in our new female president Arroyo who went to college with Bill Clinton. But apparently corruption is still highly tempting in the government of the Philippines and even she had made fraude of money. I'm talking about billions. So yeah i think Manila takes the cake in being the most corrupted city. As far as criminality its pretty high in the Philippines with places like Tondo, Manila being extra high in gang activity and drug trafficking.
