[QUOTE="t3hrubikscube"]Um, well, this may come as a surprise to you, but I like rubik's cubes.cheesyjon
:o No way!
I know, it's pretty shocking! This is very long, and very true...
Maybe 10 or 12 years ago (hard to remember exactly when) I was working up North at a local TV station in the production department. We handled all the local news and all the pre-taped public relation/service shows that are required by law to show... most of them you see early Sunday morning, if you even try to watch them:P
One of the shows was a show called "Close Up On Aging" with a host who we will call "Tony". It was a half hour show and Tiony and guests would talk about things related to senior citizens. I won't go into details about content, you can imagine the boredom...
The host "Tony" would come in an hour before the taping each week and come back to the control room with a sheet of paper containing the names of the guests and thier "titles" so we could type in the info for graphics during the show. Here's where the fun begins...
"Tony" was always forgetting names (he was well into his 80's and god bless him he kept going) He would come back and say "hey Teddy" one week and the next week say "hey Billy" to the same person... funny/cute.whatever.
I worked there for six years... the man saw me every week, and he never remembered my name. One week, he came to the control room, there were a few of use hanging and talking about things, he comes right up to me with a big grin, hands me the paper with the guest names on it.....
Wait for it.... wait for it......
He pokes my chest... and says..... "solid..... that's pretty solid... there russ" I'm not kidding, god save me... he left the room and everyone broke down laughing... so shortly after that, I made the name solidruss, if you see it out there on the internets, it's more than likely me. It never had anything to do with Metal Gear Solid, nothing game related.

I had to come up with something, so I just chose this.
Although I am a fan, just not as much as my username would have you believe. :P
Mine is the same as my AIM SN from 2001 or 2002. I was very religious and very upset at the general state of the world, so I made that SN. I think it still applies to me for the most part.
I had an alternate account back in 2002/03. There was a big inside joke among many of us. To make a long story short, we all made separate accounts portraying the inside joke. I lost my old account, so I kept the alternate which is this one and unfortunately, just about all of the old veterans left/got banned. Tis shame...:(
I've used it for years on other sites. I had originally thought it up when I was going through my "I'm gonna be a rockstar" phase.

I thought it was a mgs name all along.
I was taking Russian as a second language back in high school. And there was a Ukrainian exchange student, oh yeah take the class thats easy to pass, anyway its how he would say son of a *****. Since there is no "a" equivalent in Russian/Ukrainian it always gets dropped by Russians speaking english unless they have been speaking it for quite some time.
I just changed the "o" to a "u".
thats a great story lolThis is very long, and very true...

This brings me back to my gears of war days (the first one). Remember in warzone when you downed an enemy and you could tea bag them like crazy, well lets say I knew every trick in the book when it came to tea baging them. I remember I got so good at my friends started calling me ruffrider. I was also a fan of DMX and the foot ball team. So I changed my name to RuffRider101 and when I tea bagged someone I said "Dam now that what you calla RUFF RIDING".
This is how i came up with mine: In reality i am actually slightly insane (Asberger Syndrome) and i thought Fear Monger sounded cool... So it's dmadfearmonger.
Well I was browsing youtube at the time looking for the latest Ninja Gaiden Sigma trailer; I made a few comments here and there and someone responded to me calling me Tecmogirl(Tecmo being the makers of the game I guess). I liked it and went with it(especially since I absolutely love DOA and NG games anyways).
It's the initials of one of my favorite bands, plus a year of one of their world tours. Sort of boring, though I have actually learned that there is a real military zeppelin called LZ-71, which I think is sort of neat. LZ71I always thought your name stood for Landing Zone 71.
I've had the same jeans on for four days now,
I'm gonna go to a disco in the middle of the town,
Everybody's dressing up. I'm dressing down...
