To make a long story short, it's starting to ruin my life.
I've always been such a hot-tempered person. Annoyed so easily. I just can't control it. And yes, I've counted to 10 and took deep breaths, but that just doesn't work.

This actually isn't a good idea. If he begins to use a physical release to help control his anger he gets used to it. He will one day find himself using a physical release that will get him in trouble. What he should do is attempt to recognize and rationalize the things that upset him. Figure out why they upset him, and work through dealing with the anger with a therapist or some other person. He needs to develop a mental toughness that helps to combat the hot temper.Buy a punching bag and just hit it until you feel better. I have thought of this myself...lol

Some say its just the way the person is. But there are ways to relieve anger. Im not really a expert on that so im sorry to say I can't help you.
I believe its about the mind state of the person. I usally don't get angry because I constantly moniter my behavior and actions between others. I try not to hurt other people. Im not the best at explaining how I work so I can't really go into details.
And also never get caught up in the moment. It can be really bad if you do.

He could strike someone down with his hatred to gain such powers, but the consequences will never be the same.

Believe it or not, that used to be me. Mine was just because I had a jerk abusive father that took out his anger on his family. He died of a brain tumer though when I was 15, which gave me enough time to chill out before it was too late. Now I am as happy as can be! In other words, I don't know what to tell you, except escape the source.

And anyway, just stand still for a moment, calm down and try not to think of whatever's made you angry for like, 15 min.

I used to have some pretty severe anger problems. I just had to mature and start making the choice to not get so angry or to diffuse my anger before it gets out of control,
And I also use the internet as an outlet when I feel angry. That's why my posting style is so aggressive sometimes.
Try to find some kind of outlet and try to walk away from situations that will make you angry.
You know what you need? A picnic. You can get all sorts of joy out of picnics. You can have little triangle sandwhiches and soda pop. :)
Just don't let the ants take over.
That sucks. :( If I find a good solution, I promise to tell you. :)[QUOTE="Virtual_Price"][QUOTE="no_more_fayth"] I know but still, some people might not take it that way. no_more_fayth

My anger runs in my blood, I think. My father was the same way as yours. I don't live with him anymore, but I'm still hot-tempered. Everything and body annoys me and I blow up over every little thing. So I just can't escape the source. You know what you need? A picnic. You can get all sorts of joy out of picnics. Watch it, he might invite you. If he says that he is making knuckle sandwiches and poundcake then don't come.

It becomes a battle of will. See, I wasn't full matured yet, so I was able to change my pattern of behaviour by learning new ways to live before I was at the point where I was fully adult. It did take a few years, however. Good you got away though, how old are you? Might not be too late to naturally correct.

I hope you and I both find a solution.I have a bad temper as well. I've been slowly teaching myself to deal with it though. The best method I have found so far is to beat the living hell out of a pillow or something soft.
