Small meals.
Why wouldn't I poop out the meal I eat 12-16 hrs after I eat the small meal? Also I don't wanna poop during work so anyway to control when to go without trying as hard as possible to not poop? I think that is one of the problems with me not gaining weight cause I'm afraid to go during work or just a few hours before work. I'd feel really paranoid and dirty and have to call in sick.I'm 5'7" and weigh 127lbs and no matter what I eat I don't gain or lose any weight. It always stay the same.

Eat a lot, eat a lot of protein and then workout a lot. That is the only sure way to put on weight. I am about half a inch from 5'5 and I weigh 135 thanks to Weightlifting.
Work out.. Dont try and get fatter or anything thats a horrible idea. It will be WAY harder to loose than it will be to gain
eat more fatty food. make sure you dont go over 140lb. im about the same height and weigh almost 165lb and i feel fat. i miss the days when i was skinny
For your height you are a healthy weight. kamikaze_pigmy
That does not take muscle into account. By that chart I am Fat, if my body fat was lower it would be at an unhealthy level.

My brother is 5'7 185, he is all muscle with about the same body fat percentage as me. It doesn't matter how heavy you are, just how much is muscle.
I love how you're getting all this advice to eat ridiculously unhealthily and exercise an obscene amount when your weight is already perfectly fine for your height...kamikaze_pigmy
You don't understand muscle then... He doesn't want to be skinny, IE he wants muscle not fat.

A 5'7 male weighting 185? that's chubby....No it is all muscle. Have you ever seen how much a bodybuilder weighs? My bro is basically a body builder without the steriods and there is less fat on him than me.

Don't listen to that guy, his chart says I am fat, you can see a picture of me in my profile, I am not fat. You should workout and get big sailor muscles, If you want advice I can help you out. I got a list of exercises you can do that don't recquire going to the gymn, just a bench and free weights.

I understand muscle. I also understand that eating a **** load of junk, as has been suggested, does not make you more muscular.I wish I wieghed 185 again lol. When I was in HS i wieghed that much and looked just as skinny as someone the same hieght wieghing 130lb I was just bigger. AutoPilotOn
Yeah, right now I got to hold myself back though so I don't stunt my growth. Although I will beef up like that for sure, muscles feel great.

Start with 5 small meals a day. Eat a lot of peanut butter and milk. Milk is a great way to get extra calories. Drink a lot of water. The secret is to eat a lot. You also have to work out, or you won't grow. You have to let your body know that you want to grow.
Check out on google: Starting Strength Wiki. It's a routine by Mark Rippetoe. It's considered the gold standard as far as beginning mass building routines go. It's a perfect routine to begin weight training.
I used to weigh about 130 and I am nearly 6'1" tall. In high school, I decided I needed to get a lot bigger, so I gained a ton of weight. I weigh about 190 now and am pretty lean. You just have to stick with it. That is the key.
Stick with it for 3 months. If you don't see results after doing it for 3 months, then you just need to eat more. But if you follow the program, you are almost guaranteed to see results. Trust me, I'm a "hard-gainer".
Can you guys recommend me some small meals I should eat everyday and also explain why I won't be pooping 24/7?TheCh0sen0ne85
Basically have protein with everymeal. Make sure to eat healthy fat like nuts/avocados everyday. Try and get healthy oils in everyday, I eat sardines for the healthy oils, it keeps my skin nice and healthy. Throw in carbs and calories for good measure and something to burn off. Just pick healthy foods. Fats and Oils are important when weightlifting because it reduces the severity and chance of stretch marks. Protein is building block of muscle so it is a must. Carbohydrates from Egg yolks build testosterone, they are really good. Egg protein rebuilds tendons, whey protein boosts immune system goes straight to the muscle. The calories are basically just to burn off as fuel. Soy Protien is something you stay away from entirely it does not build testosterone it can only build estrogen.

How do you know? If you really want to lose weight just stop eating. Easy. It's WAY harder to shove food down your throat just to gain some pounds but later end up bursting your gut.Work out.. Dont try and get fatter or anything thats a horrible idea. It will be WAY harder to loose than it will be to gain

Gaining muscle is the hardest thing there is.
Can you guys recommend me some small meals I should eat everyday and also explain why I won't be pooping 24/7?TheCh0sen0ne85breakfast you can eat a lot of things. Eggs, cheese, oatmeal, fruit, peanut butter, bagles, etc. Eat big for breakfast. snacks: jerkey, peanut butter sandwich, nuts, fruit, protein bar, etc. lunch you can eat a lot of things also. chicken ceasar salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, a big meaty sandwich, etc. dinner: I usually just ate what my mom cooked. But most people will tell you chicken and brown rice and veggies. But as a skinny guy, you can eat big for dinner and it won't matter much if it's super healthy or not. You're just looking to feed your muscles as best you can. Basically, just eat more times a day. Like I said, start with 5 times a day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with two snacks in between there. And when I say snack, I mean maybe like a peanut butter and banana sandwich and a big glass of milk. That is another thing... drink a lot of milk. It's a good way to get some good calories and protein in your system.

Not everyone digests milk. Milk kinda is bad for my skin, because I do not digest it the best. You must be of scandinavian origin cuz those are the only chaps that actually get major use out of milk.

I'm not scandinavian at all. French and German.how is it harder to gain weight than lose it? AutoPilotOn
Depends on the person.
I lose weight easily if I exercise a little, so I just sit around all day eating if I wanna gain weight.
For others it is harder to lose it.
But man I need to gain at least 15 pounds of FAT not muscle
I gained some by going to a nutritionist so if you wanna gain/lose that's probably the surest way

When people are talking about gaining weight, they are usually talking about gaining muscle. Gaining muscle is very hard for people who don't gain it easily. Losing weight is very hard for those who don't lose it easily. Anybody can sit at their computer and stuff their face with moon pies all day. Please Log In to post.
