Once again, another girl help thread. This may sound strange, and pathetic, but i've never been able to ask girls out because ever since J.H i've had a pretty bad fear of being rejected.
So yeah, how do I get over it?

To get over it, just get rejected. Not to say get purposefully rejected, but once it happens your fear will most likely be over. Almost like a vaccine or something. Get exposed to it, and it won't affect you anymore.
Just realize millions of people get turned down all the time, start lower in quality partners to work up your confidence. A tactful approach can make it like you cannot be rejected, play it cool hotshot. Go to some bar out of town and just practice trying so even if you pick up the girl you don't really care either way.
Best Sig ever thats it it's over! On Topic: you make a valid whether it be in jest or not.Get rejected loads of times, when you reach rock bottom the only way from there is up :P

You need to go out and pratice talking to girls more if you have this issue--simple as that. Just keep in mind that nothing is going happen to you if you're rejected. Most of us respond nicely anyways. Most importantly, be confident and don't give any one girl too much importance. What one cutie won't do, another one will.
I dont think you will ever get over if fully but what helps me is that I began to realize that there are actually three outcomes when it comes to asking a girl out. The first is she says yes and hurah for you, the second is she says no and boo for you, and the third is the worst because it means you wimp out and you don't ask and you are actually disapointed in yourself which is imo even worse than being disapointed that she said no.
At least with option two you tried, but with that third option you end up blaming yourself making yourself feel worse than you already did.

I kind of meant moreso like awkward month later with missed monthly visitors is much more fear inspiring... Or DUI's and other nightmares that can come from entirely losing inhibitions. Don't get me wrong though I am having a nice drink as we speak. Just that it's nice to retain some inhibitions is all.[QUOTE="rawsavon"][QUOTE="Shhadow_Viper"]Too bad in real life it is generally: Get Drunk->Lose Inhibitions = New Problems created.Shhadow_Viper...just awkward mornings...not that bad of a problem to have -just sneak out ninja style or kick them out Chuck Norris style:lol: Yeah... I think having hard feelings over that is pretty childish though, I mean I have had to reject some less than favorable ladies before. It should not be hard to understand that people like what they like, and they don't what they don't. As long as the rejector is not an ass about it at least. But a lot of guys have hard feelings afterward for the girl, just walk away with your head up.

This is pretty true regardless if it's frowned down upon.
If someone says "No", then what have you really lost? Nothing, because you would not have gone out with them in the first place.

Just think of it this way.. You cant fear losing what you never had in the first place. When you ask a girl out, the worse case you're where you already were. The best case, you get the girl. So thinking of it that way.. you cant lose, only win.Being in pretty much the exact same situation, I can say telling him "just do it" isn't going to work. I've considered therapy; I haven't gone yet but it seems like something worth thinking about. Other than that, try and find ways to cope until you become confident enough to try again; I personally find exercise and video games are both good ways to get it out of my head, but really go with what works for you.
I know most of you might think it a cop-out to say "try to think about other things" but when you're in that situation sometimes it's the best choice.
I get rejected alot of times, its natural it happens towards anybody.
just dont get stress about getting rejected so much, if one girl doesnt like you thats just one chick outta like thousands :P
