What else can you do? Get through it. Make other friends. Participate in after-school activities.
first day of school in the morning when everyone is gathered in the cafeteria beat the **** out of the first guy you see while singing my heart will go on by celine dion, then your set for all four years my man
Oh, your problem isn't you're in high school! It's that you were a freshmen! So long as you aren't a freshmen, everything's cool. /sarcasm
Actually, I recommend taking harder courses if yours are boring. Talk to people. It's impossible for everyone to be a jerk. A lot of my friends from middle school went to a different high school. I hardly ever see them anymore and I really don't care. Seriously man, it's not that bad.
If you don't know anyone at your school, and automatically say "everyone is a jerk" then you'll keep on not knowing anyone. Fixing that attitude has to be your first step.So Im a freshman and I think the classes are boring, and none of my classmates from middleschool are in my high school so I dont know anyone, and everyone is a jerk. Make friends with the popular kids. But you only have once chance, and you got to do it right... :] I loved high school when I went. Wish I could go back. lolSo Im a freshman and I think the classes are boring, and none of my classmates from middleschool are in my high school so I dont know anyone, and everyone is a jerk. you just survive. join some clubs, talk to people, try out for sports (even if you arent good, you'll learn), and try to be confident. all of us "old" people like myself would love to trade places with you for a day or two, because we know how much fun HS could be.
seeming as none of your current friends go to your high school, i would suggest openning up and meeting people asap. this will only open up opportunities for you and will make the whole 'high school life' a lot more enjoyable. honestly, high school was awesome.
Actually high school is meant to be fun. And to party. Up until your college years. Just don't let the partying get in the way of your grades. I partied all the time and made straight a's anyway. I guess it was my use in psychadelics that fueled my mind. :]Do drugs. Have underage sex, break stuff, yell at your teachers. That should help you ;)

I have no ****ing idea. I started thinking about it last night and i just made myself angry and worried. I joined ROTC. Its basicallly an army class and guess what? The first week real marines come in and yell at you to get you in shape. Also school starts on a monday. ITS going to suck! Also I'm taking two math classes. I would be really angry if both of them gave me homework.

i agree. parties are a natural part of high school. as long as you have self control and understand the concept of moderation.
I just finished my freshman year. Be yourself, and true friends will follow.
Haters gonna hate, get used to it.
OK, sorry for that. I thought we were giving silly advice here...
Just don't be presumptuous or excessively forwardwhen socializing with other people...
But don't let people walk all over you either...they might bully you for the rest of highschool...
It's as simple as that.
Make a few really good friends so that you have a social life. Beyond that take really good classes, make the best grades you possibly can and then participate in some extracurricular activities. Oh, and don't do drugsor participate in a lot of partying.Once you're out of highschool things change a lot and you aren't going to be giving it much thought anymore. Highschool is your first major chance to get ahead in life so do your best and make it to a good college.
Meh. I was in the same situation when I was entering high school. I was a public school kid until the end of Junior High and then my parents decided that sending me to a private school would prepare me for college better. Sadly, that meant that I was taken away from the social group that I'd known up through the end of 8th grade and put in with a bunch of kids who had known each other for lots of years. It's tough breaking into a situation like that. My advice? Take your time. Feel things out. And be open and honest. Be friendly to others, and learn to laugh at yourself. There are going to be kids that are just dicks who will try and put you down or make you the social outcast or outsider. Don't let it get to you, and just stay friendly and have a sense of humor. Most of the time, the ability to laugh and poke fun at yourself a little bit, to show that you can have a good time even when you're the butt of a joke, will eventually lead to greater acceptance. Note that I'm not asking you to change who you are. It's a fine balancing act to have to be able to adapt enough to different situations to fit in, while still maintaining an untouchable core of things that you won't compromise or adjust no matter how much people want you to. Figure out what parts of you are intrinsic to your own self image and don't ever compromise those, but then also identify some surface and/or non-important things that you're okay adjusting to find common ground. So Im a freshman and I think the classes are boring, and none of my classmates from middleschool are in my high school so I dont know anyone, and everyone is a jerk. What should I do?

Get involved, be friendly, make (good) jokes, and when the moment comes that the **** hits the fan, don't take crap from anyone.
You proably don't know alot of people then in your middle school then im guessing. Go join a sport or club, Talk to people since im pretty sure no ones really a jerk to you unless you are being one to them.

I didn't really like Highschool at first either...Just take it day to day and before you know it you'll be graduating. During my graduation I was actually somewhat disappointed that I didn't make a better effort to get to know some of the people in my class. Prior to everyone going off the college, military, work, etc I spent the summer with some people I really wished I become friends with a couple years before.
Try being happy that you didn't go to mine. I've still got stab wounds to show from gangbanger bullies who didn't like me because of my skin color; but hey, it's not a hate crime if the victim is white, apparently. Your problems are trivial. So Im a freshman and I think the classes are boring, and none of my classmates from middleschool are in my high school so I dont know anyone, and everyone is a jerk. when i was still in high school, which was a few months ago i kept my cool. Go steady with the drugies, populars, goth etc... don't try to be bigger or smaller;)
