Hey, I know most CDs can only hold about 20 songs, but my friend, a long time ago, was able to upload 100+ songs on to a CD. They wouldn't work for playing in a CD player, but they could be uploaded on to iTunes.

I need to do this because I have to upload songs on to Audiosurf, and I don't want to use 100 discs to do so.

Thank you very much in advance.

Just make a Data CD rather than an Audio CD. I'm sure there's such an option in the menu of whatever burning program you use.

When you're writing the disc, choose "data CD" instead of "audio CD".

Sorry to use your topic, OP. But if I was to put 100 songs on a cd as a data disk, would I then be able to upload those songs to my PS3?

I don't know about PS3, but this is possible with the 360 and I'm pretty sure you can with the PS3 as well.

Ok nice, I've been wanting to do this but I didn't really feel like burning multiple disks.

Thank you very much for the help, guys.

Does anyone know where the option is to change it from an audio CD to a data CD on iTunes is? I looked it up, but couldn't find an answer. I'm sure I could figure it out if I looked really hard, but would anyone be kind enough to just tell me where to go?

Thanks.

Just get a freeware burning program, there are many, just google it

Try CD Burner XP.

You could use Windows' built-in burning program. Just copy the files to the CD drive and when you write it it will ask you if you want data or audio.

You need to use a CD burning software like Nero, it can't be done on itunes.

Can you walk me through how to do this? I'm sorry I'm so clueless.

Also, I remember my friend doing all this on iTunes, although this was two years ago...

My Music > iTunes > iTunes Music - this is where your songs in iTunes are located, copy them from here

My Computer > CD-R/RW Drive - paste them here, then at the left click "burn files to CD" or something like that, then the CD writing wizard will come up and walk you through it.

EDIT: You could also try in iTunes - File > Back Up to Disc. I have never used that though so I'm not sure exactly what it does.

You can upload them the same way you can upload money into a ATM.

Burn as Data Disk (as everyone else has said).

Use Windows CD Burner - easy and fast(er) compared to some software.

Might take more than one CD of course depending on Library size.

If you have XP or Vista, you already have it unless you removed it. Just put in a blank disk, and copy and paste the files in the CD directory. Then press Burn.
