When girls find out I'm a gamer they have sex with me on the spot :|thriteenthmonke
When girls find out for me they tend not to be so friendly :(
As for other people they dont really care.
I didn't tell anybody at first. It was because of the stereotypes of society, and my family was very anti-gamer. But one day, my parents caught me with a Game Boy in my hand, and I was forced to come out of my closet. At first, they rejected me, even considered kicking me out of the house, but when they attended a support group that taught acceptance and tolerance, they have grown to accept me for who I really am.Silver_Dragon17I hope your kidding, but seeing some of your other posts, i don't think you are. People here make me sit at the back of the bus because I'm a gamer. One day I decided to go all Rosa Parks and I got beat up.

They expect it, I'm pretty well known for being a gamer around here.The_Zoid
Same here. I'm known for being addicted to my PC.
I'm still surprised being a gamer is still equated to being some sort of huge nerd. There's no denying that the gaming industry is as mainstream as the music and movie industries.ElZilcho90its going to have a nerdy stigmata forever

Which makes absolutely no sense. There are exceptionally few people in modern society who have never played a game. I fail to see why gaming should have more nerd stigma (stigmata's when you have the marks of Christ on your body. :P) than any other hobby or interest. Watching movies isn't nerdy. Listening to music isn't nerdy. Why games? The steroetype of the dungeonmaster gamer had died out decades ago.

lol added some extra letters.:PBut I agree that gaming isn't as nerdy anymore. But people have pre-conceived notions about gaming, and anything really. When someone hears that someone listens to a certain type of music, they have a stereotype in their head about the listeners to that type of music.

Of course I'm kidding.>_>
What of my other posts?
Almost everyone I know plays games, excluding girls, some more than others, but it's not a strange hobby...SolidSnake35hmmm maybe I live in a bad area... a lot of people that hear that I'm a gamer think that I'm some nerdy guy
