Do you do it alphabetically? Is there some special order? Or do you just wing it? Just wondering how the rest of the world does it...

I don't keep games around. I sell them when I'm done. As for movies, I don't have them in any order. :P

Movies I have organized alphabetically. Games I don't have organized at all. CDs I have organized alphabetically by artist and then all the albums by a given artist are ordered chronologically.

When I put a game or movie in to the PS3/360 I just put the case on top of the stack.

Only my ps2 games are in ABC order on my book shelf. The rest of my games just go into what I call "the game bin of no return." As for my movies, They're just stacked on top of each other on my closet shelf. VHS on one side, dvds on the other.

I don't organize. I just add the newest purchases to the end of the line, or on top of the stack.

My TV show collection was in alphabetical order until I ran out of space in the draw. Now they are split over a shelf and the draw, where I keep my complete seasons on the shelf (Supernatural, House and Dexter) whilst the rest sit in the drawer. I am planning on getting a stand-alone cabinet one day, but only when I get 100 TV series.

I know people who order their dvds by country, director, year. I just do it Alphabetically by name.

I just organize my games by platform. DS games with other DS games, 360 games with other 360 games, etc.

I don't bother to go anymore in-depth than that...not that I would really need to.

It kind of goes by a "however much I like them at the moment" order.

For GC XBOX 360 and PS3 I do it alphabetically where they get their own shelf. For N64 I don't do alphabetical because you can't see the name on a shelf, lol. My SNES games are in a crate hidden away somewhere.

Movies I just stick on a shelf.

Everything is in alphabetical order. Movies are broken down into two categories: blurays and dvds. Games are seperated by console. If there is more than one item that shares the same name, like the LOTR trilogy, it's organized by order of release, rather than doing it alphabetically.

I dont buy movies or TV seasons on DVD or Blu-ray. I rent them and that's pretty much it. As for games.. if a title is a series.. I group them together, like Halo, Mass Effect, etc. I dont care about it being in alphabetical order. If I had a shelf full of movies, I would put those in alphabetical order though. Each platform/system has their own drawer for their games.

I have my games in a drawer. I organize them inside the drawer based on the likelihood of me playing it.

So, games I've been into recently stay at the top, while games that I haven't played in a while stick at the bottom. There isn't much room in the drawer, so they're arranged vertically. I sometime arrange them by Multiplats and Exclusives.

I've been collecting DVDs since they've been out, I've too many to organize and not enough room, I've moved so much in the last 5 years I don't even bother anymore,my game collection for the last year has taken up all my other shelf space, I used to have it separated by system then alphabetised, still do but any other game I can't fit on the shelf is just stacking where I can find room

DVDs are alphabetical. I don't have enough space to have games on my shelf, so they're just in a draw in a random order.

My brother has left the game room a mess. Game cases are everywhere, the wires are tangled, and he always leaves the discs on the entertainment stand

He's nine. Could be worse though.

Games: They are standing in a line, the one I played last stands right. The game that is in the machine stands before them so one can see the cover and knows whats going on.

My anime DVD/BD collection is build up to look good: The average ones in a row (the order is random), my favourites or special pieces are placed to look as good as they can.

Format and alphabetical when I'm cleaning up. Whatever I played last on top of the pile when playing.
