How do you want your steak?

Ive got the Q all fired up, i was just wondering how you want your steak cooked.

True Story!
I used to like my steak well done, because i thought having it pink was bad. Last week i cooked this awesome sirloin for only 5 minutes each side (medium rare i think)... it was still reddish but not bloody. Holy crap it was the best steak ive ever had! MEDIUM RARE FTW.

Medium Well. I like it cooked through, but I don't like it burnt to the point that its dry.

I really hate the taste of rare cooked meat.

The thing is, untill recently i thought steak was SUPPOSED to be chewy and tasteless. Thats why i never liked it. Now i know!

Medium-Well. I will eat it a little pink if I had to, but not bloody.

I've never tried a steak "Well-done" because everyone always talks me out of it, but I think I would like it best. I like my bacon crunchy.

Just as an aside, we definately need to have meat threads on here more often. It doesn't have to be steaks, we can talk about any cut of beef, or lamb, chicken, pork... even seafood!

Medium rare is nice and tender, just how I like it.

Id be all for a seafood thread, thats normally my area of expertise, i just realized i liked steak recently. It was a sirloin grill, peppered and seasoned on the edges.... drools

Yeah, seriously. I'm one but I believe it's a personal choice. But what *isn't* cool is going on a rant against vegetarians, because people seem to assume that we hate meat eaters or something.

Yeah, exactly. Unfortunately, I do know some people who are the "OMG, how dare you kill the poor animals, you murderer!!!" type of vegetarian. Personally, I'm more of a "Meh, I don't want to eat meat, but if you want to, that's cool" type of vegetarian.
