How does facebook know who my family is?

I was signing up to facebook and they showed me two members(my aunt and cousin) and said these are people i may know. WTF?

It suggests people who you have mutual friends with, live near and share the same last name with.

Well we have different last names and i don't have any friends yet since i just signed up, so it's very strange.

Facebook has obviously developed it's own AI which is planning to destory humanity! It clearly wants to make everyone suffer by offing their family members first to get them worried! It's like a more evil version of Skynet!!!
