Some members pay a subscription yearly (myself included) to get a number of benefits like demos, better video quality, downloads and access to betas 'n stuff.Ninja-HippoOur benefits are really non-existent. This is my second year as a GameSpot Gold member and I've only participated in one weekend beta. Everyone can stream 540p videos and at least I can't be bothered to download trailers, video reviews and other videos on my PC. And even the download speeds are sluggish compared to what for example IGN has to offer with FilePlanet. Still I'm paying - I wonder why.
Advertisements, people taht pay for a membership, developpers that want a bad game nicely reviewed.mattttherman3
