Yes, I am a cocky 17 year old.
I just jumped 5.72m last week at track, I figure it is decent, and a step up from the 5.21m I jumped last year.
How old are you and how far can you jump?
That is all.

Im currently in mid jump after reading your last post, i am able to repond thanks to a very light netbook and the fact that im stoned.
EDIT:I just landed, i jumped 10.25.
I haven't done long jumping in years. But on a side note, the last time I measured my vertical jump was about 38 inches.

Thats very impressive. I have an average vertical jump..
I don't want to sound boastful, but training for a good vertical jump isn't has difficult as people claim. You need the correct training methods and you will achieve your goal a lot quicker. I developed most of my height from training in Wushu and maintain it via Olympic styled Weight Lifting. I found that plyometrics didn't really do much for my type of schedule so I omitted them for about two years but they work very well for other people.

I just do my normal weight lifting, especially with leg lifts like squats. Thats probably why I had such a good broad jump at the time. And the day I did the jump, I was nautious and was feeling like I was about to pass out... I can't even imagine what my number would've been if I was feeling better..I already got an 8.8 that day feeing awful.
By the way, we really didn't prepare for the broad or vertical jump. And I'm 5'5'' if you're wondering what my height is (check out my link for other #s)

I used to broad jump every single day last year, but I stopped...it was about 7'6" I think. I plan on training alot this year. Originally, I wasn't meaning broad jump, but long jump, so...with a run up. I converted it from meters to feet: 5.72m = 18.77 feet[QUOTE="taj7575"][QUOTE="WushuFighter"]

Are there any tracks by your house? Where I live, the track is open all the time for anyone to use, and it is really nice too, there should be plenty of long jump pits. Please Log In to post.
