Ridiculous... I never get more than 120kbps when downloading. 
It's only a laptop, but oh well.

its a university, they usually have pretty good speeds Yup. How fast stuff downloads is usually limited by the upload speed of the server I'm downloading it from rather than my bandwidth limits. Some stuff isn't that fast but some sites go really fast. I can routinely get 2 or 3 MB/sec from gametrailers.com. It downloads 50-100 MB movies in about 30 seconds. The school monitors how much I upload and will cut off my internet access for filesharing, which kind of sucks though. Crap, I just noticed it shows my school under my ISP which I didn't want to share. That's new isn't it? Too late to take it down now, it's been quoted a million times, and I can't take it off the server hosting it (like a photobucket account) Wow dude you go to Tufts? Tufts is a tough school (lol) i hear
