I've taken 4 they're not that bad as long as you don't mind studying.

AP Chemistry is the only one that you might have problems with.

always depends on the teacher, but i can tell you this much, AP spanish isn't that bad. i suck at spanish(just wanna continue, through with it since im a senior, plus might take it in college next year), i was not going to take it, until my parents guilted me into it. Anyway, under all those circumstances, i can tell its easy, got a 90 percent last year(lol made up for my B in AP Calc), now i have an 89 but i should get an A in that class. AP Chem on the other hand i heard was brutal, my friend who is good at chem/physics/math, is even struggling. all i can say is make sure you have an interest in the rest of your AP classes, and i mean a real interest, or your going to be wishing you didn't take so many. GRR i hate ap calc.

So is AP chem really that hard? I always hear people complaining how hard it is. I am usually a straight A student in the sciences.

depends on the teacher...

One that takes it seriosuly and acutally uses college tests are hard....the tests are generally a lot harder than most other tests..

The AP classes im in are basically like any of my other classes.....as I said, depends on the teacer....like one teacher I have treated it like a college class....put notes on the board, told us when theres a test...and left us alone...didnt care what we did as long as we didnt kill each other...

the semester ended and now I have a diff teacher for the same class....now its like any other failure high school class where you just sit there and get treated like idiots and, well you know the rest..

I took AP European History last year and I'm taking AP US History this year. Both classes are fairly easy as long as you read your textbook.

Next year I'm taking AP Economics, AP English, AP Psychology, and AP Biology.

AP classes are difficult if you let them be difficult. If you're lazy and don't do assignments or pay attention in class, they become difficult. Also the way the teacher teachs plays a role in this as well. AP US History was a breeze for me, but that was mainly because of my interest in the subject. The college credit you get is rewarding.

Some schools pay for the AP tests. My high school paid for all my AP tests free of charge.

If you get a 95 ish in the classes, then you're good enough to excel in an AP class. AP classes aren't really hard if you've got what it takes, and have enough motivation.

The classes vary from school to school. It could be brutally difficult or rather easy depending on the teacher...next year I'm taking the following AP courses: (I'm also taking a Community College History class and an Accounting class)

  • AP Calc
  • AP Statistics
  • AP English
  • AP Spanish
  • AP Chem

I wish that my school had some type of AP Economics class (Macro, Micro, or just regular Econ) because I'd take that too.

Stay motivated, unlike me. I got a 1 on French, Physics, and Calculus. Got a 2 on Literature/English Composition because I felt like leaving early, instead of doing the final essay. At least I passed US History with a 4. The college credit is coming in handy for me right now.

AP History is a breeze. What AP English are you taking? Because AP English Comp wasn't offered at my school, just AP Lit and that was fun because I got to read a lot. Never took the others.

physics was brutal, i didn't pay attention the whole year, i don't even really like physics. basically finished before anyone during the test, cause i guessed on most things, didn't even bother leaving anything blank. like the free response, was just awful.

lol When I took the Physics exam, I pretty much saw everyone give up after 5 minutes. We really didn't know what we were doing. A bunch of high school seniors who just wanted to graduate already. Oh how I loved senioritis. Though some of the stuff I learned in AP Physics, did help me understand Physics in college last term. I guess seeing stuff before helps out later on, even if you weren't very familar with it.

yah the senioritis is kicking in. like ill spend 15 mins on hw, err its so hard to concentrate on hw and even in classes. i used to go overboard, and make sure all my hw was done great, finish projects 2 weeks before they were do, now i just do the bare minimum, and hope to pass.
