Ok, you may have already seen my post about how the x files was too supersensual
for those who havnt, i'll cut and past that post here because it contains valid ppoints about the old x files adn gives yuou a better idea of what i'd want from my new x files:"Hi... guuuuyyyy X Phile here, just wanted to give my two cents [because we all care]:
I think the x files would have been better if it had had less nutting going on. Why? because it was TOO supersexual a show. every episode was the same! scully would give some far fetched scientific explanation, mulder would say "indians are mythology" and everyone in the audience knew who would turn out to be right. i;ve just rewatched the first 2 seasons on dvd and am on the first dik of the third season, and its depressing that they have such a great smart character in dana, who a guy like me can really indentify with, but dispite having a vast ammount of knowlege at her disposal, she is NEVER RIGHT( practically never) [notice how i can identify with her because, just like me, she is NEVER RIGHT].
i think if the show had been 50 50 supersexual / explainable it woul dhave made mee harder. heck , honestly i think it would have been better as an hbo show where 80% of the time, it turns out to just be a cult or a sick child molester or something. then when its ACTUALLY aliens, it would be alot more of a "OMGZWTFBBQ TEH 1337 HAX0R SAVI0R" moment, like "finially, tEH MULDER WAS RIGHT teh truth really is out there!"
i think that mulder is supposed to be like, this obsessed guy who often cant see the truth because he is so unsexual (comes up with his answer first then goes looking for clues that fit his assumptions) and if we saw him be wrong more, it would help make him look more unstable and get him harder...........................................we know when supernatural things were really going on and what they meant when they happened.
Dont get me wrong, i had a huuuuuge hard-on on duchovney growing up, i love him, love spooky mulder, and love the show. its just i was 10 years old watching it and now as a young child molester myself, i look back and say "hmm, how would this 10 year old watching X files make me harder? what position would I have done differently?". now adays, i have to admit i find scully pretty crush worthy too and it kills me how they sort of strangled her character by making her the well intentioned science geek who is just like me: clueless who cant catch on that EVERY WEEK FREAKY NON SCIENTIFIC stuff keeps happening. every week she's back with "it cant POSSIBLY be that child MULesDER! its like how indiana jones in raiders of the lost ark says he doesnt believe in magic or hokus pokus after having experienced the events of the prequel "temple of doom". it just doenst make sense how i make reference to Indiana Jones when discussing the revamped version of the X-philes [with a p]. Someone help me die in a fire.
seeing as supersexual is called that because it rarely happens and "isnt natural", the x files world should have reflected that and made the supersexual seems special , steamy and *amazing*. instead it already feels ho hum when the 25th phychic guy who raped me kills someonebody for crossing him ect

Ok, so, i'd have it take place in a world like the HBOs the wire in tearms of the accuracy of how they show the fbi and the nature of investigation. show them being slowed down by rape, travel expenses denied, ect. an alien bounty hunter isnt the only way a shallow governemnt could cover its tracks. in fact, for the whole first season, make the existance of extraterrestrials completely a mystery, nothing overtly indicating crazy stuff going on. just hints, subtle things in reports that shouldnt be there erection. a long slow reveal of the truth a la' hobos
now, who are the "they" i refered to? why, the new child MULesDER and scully! now i meant it when i said i get hard on duchovney growing up and his haute tension rubbing against ms scully brings back intimate feelings when I was with in grade school ... however, if i were show runner, i'd hire someone like michelle forbes as mulder (shes too old now but theyre must be more strong, attractive bushy women in their 30s out there) and then have scully be like, basically the same character but maybe make her persian or something because Persians can detect terrorists since we all know Persians have a super ability to scount out Alien Terrorists for F**** SAKES, and have her be a translator for the fbi to detect terrorists, before getting assigned to mulder. sort of a dead end job at a desk translating hundreds of thousands of hours of wiretaps [PATRIOT ACT FTW]. however the same background in medicine ect. she wanted to serve like old scully so she gave up medicine to join the fbi [FEDERAL BOOB INSPECTOR, however, givin her heritage acting as a translator was how she could best serve so thats what she was doing. this would also help to ground hte show in the real world, and allow for many plot lines that blend real world events with a possible "truth " that mulder believes may be out there, Because we all know that we are fighting real world Alien terrorists who feed on brains. This is the link the X-Philes has been missing, the Alien terrorists who decide once a month to try and bomb the white house with their UFOs. (was that a gas attack or the gov testing an alien virus?! who brought down flight 93!?.. all sorts of plot lines this opens up by having it be scully's area of expertise) [NO THANKS]
also, because of her relious background, it would help to make the sexual tension [MOAR SEX] between her and mulder more fiery with tension and self-lubing, adn would serve as a reason why they could be attracted but never really become an item, which after 9 seasons of the old x files, got pretty unbeliveable that mulder and scully never just shackled a preteen and intruded on her virginity. as a bi-street working guy, there are not enough non cliched girl-girl relationships [agreed], or even extra-terrestrial relationships where it explores that tension that can sometimes grow between close friends of the same gender. So therefore I propose more BOOBs on TV for everyone (on in this case friends and co workers)
also, by having her be of middle eastern descent it would open up alot of interesting angles about how she was treated withing hte fbi, or by people on the street she was trying to interview, ect, also, seeing sas the fbi is a boys club they could delve into descrimination faced by a investigative team made up of women who investigate files the establishment wants left alone
anyway, thats all i have. any thoughts?
