how is the Evil Dead series?

i've heard good things about the series, and i've wanted to see it for a while, so i put it on my Christmas list...are they as good as people say?

It's really not very good.

The first one was pretty stupid and ridiculous, and is only popular because it was ridiculously bad.

The secons is the best, in my opinion, and had the best balance between horror and humour. Still sucked though.

And the third was 100% comedy with no horror whatsoever, because at that point he realized that he sucks at horror. So he figured that he'd might as well just do all comedy. Still sucked though, because it wasn't ****ing funny. It was just stupid. It was like a 90 minute episode of Looney Tunes, only there wasn't a single thing that was actually worth laughing at.

Can't say much about the series, but I did recently see the first one for the first time. It was awesome. Very much worth your time.
