It's been 4 years since i last had a job, 3 years since i've gone to college, Every year i hope to land a job and i end up with nothing, no source of income other than fixing some computers at home but that barely helps me any, sometimes i only make $100 a month, i still live with my parents but money is tight... i live in CA, LA and still looking for a job, around my area people are committing suicide more and more. I do everything i can, i've gone through 3 interviews at 3 different jobs last month and didnt land any job. What else is there to do when even a college education wont guarantee me a job.

anyone else in the same situation?

I have been at my current job for 3 years now, and luckily I have never been unemployed since I started to work 6 years ago. I hope you can find a job soon.

Thankfully, no. I am not in that situation. My girlfriend is getting screwed over by her work though, and is essentially unemployed.

Two years because my parents wouldn't let me get a job in college, but now I'm taking a semester off. I finally got a job again at yesterday :D at Office Depot. I've had jobs all through out high school. Those two years sucked not having one lol.

I have never gone longer than a month without a job in the past 12 years since I was 17. I have been at my new job for about 6 months and my last job for 5 years. In fact I still work at my old job but only part time now after I leave my new job, so I actually have 2 jobs now.

Retrain? There are some professions and areas that are in high demand. Not enough people are good at math and science, so jobs in those areas are easier to get.

I had a job one year ago and went to college before that even, but dropped out because i realized college is retarded and its not the only way to make it in life. I've been working on my own internet business and i plan to never work another job again.

Started working at a job at age 13, went to a different job the next year where I have worked for the last 4 years. Now I am soon to be working both of them at the same time. I love money.

I'm currently working in a pub, but I just started in January. Before that I spent five months looking for a job.

Well your job now is to take care of yourself, if you find an easy assignment this job can be easy: http://www.homeinstead.com/Pages/home.aspx

umm i been out of job for 6hrs.... and i be going back to that one in 27hrs lol

It's who you know not what you know .... sadly

any friends, your parent friends any jobs they work at You need tell them come get you soon as job is open. Because if your friend ect go talk to his boss about you. Your application is going get hand picked.

example 1~ my self i knew the manager but he still had to follow company policy and put all applications up on the website for the whole world to see. but pretty much it was already decided.

example 2~ my sister. she finished school, she was pretty juch jobless for like a year only working at corner store. She ran into one of her old high school friends who worked at a bank. Her friend sent her the application and my sister gave it back to her and she gave it to her boss 2 days later gets phone call for interview, day after the interview job offer... Now she has a job in her degree but bank wa better then little corner store.

not saying it's impossiable but the more you know the better.

I was in the same situation, but for 15 months. You need to start working, period. Take any job you can get even if it's not in your field-- many places that are hiring today won't hire someone who has been without a job for more than a few months. 3 years without a job looks really bad on your reume and makes your piotential employer think you're lazy. Try to find a job at a place where you can move in to your field of choice, but at this point don't expect to land the job of your dreams. You might also want to concider volunteering.

Almost a year. Recently had an interview, now I'm waiting to see if I get another one. But its really hard finding a general labour job. Everone wants specialty trained people. Very few want an averge worker (in terms of training)

4 years, had to quit my job cause of low pay, had odd jobs here and there like helping people move.

Put in a few apps to Target,Walmart and Costco for flexable hours so I can take some classes but GD even those places are a pain in the rear to get a job.
