How long can you go without technology?

I tried weaning myself off of my laptop for one week. Needless to say things didn't go very well. :?

depends on the reason. if there's no real reason, maybe 2-3 days..

but if i have a reason (for example: my parents took ALL of my technology.. tv, laptop, gaming systems, and my phone.. untill i would do something.) they pissed me off so much i went over 2 months before they gave in and made a deal

Like Lets say I were in walking distance of my family and everyone I care to speak to on a regular basis, I could go forever without technology.

Its either I do something, or I dont. I mean I can, but its just that, first of all I get like 25 hours of work, I can only exercise so much, so I might as well do something while I recover from work, etc. Plus, I can only go outside for so long. Sure, I have done a whole week without gaming, it was not that hard because I could find things to do, ist just... Games are fun way to think of something other than the real world.

Meh, this just shows how screwed we are! Are technology is basically slowly choking us into being unnatural.

only if in great vacation place then id pass of computer a month if i ad no choice : but the whole technology ? no more then 2 week id get pretty desperate to get one function w/e it would have to be as my mp3 player / as PSP / Gameboy Advance a man need entrainment and lady know that :)

Although most of lady i know can get away of all source of technology that don't suit there beauty need as hair-dryer / Cloth Washing / Electricity for Bath All they need is lot of Talking and book to get over it or something just like my mom.. she didn't give a damn about the technology in vacation

But I say I can get Pretty Cranky after a day or two Without any Console Games :) that if i have no social activity with people or Fun stuff as a Zoo to visit

As long I insist on living in society, just a few hours. If I were to live on my terms, forever.

If I were stuck at home with no gadgetry I would probably go insane fairly quickly, but if I have other stuff to do I can go for weeks without any issue.

Without communication technology I can last quite long but with entertainment I don't think so....

I was thinking about a month, just give me a couple dozen or so novels, and I'll be set.

But now that I think about it. If I don't have anything else distracting me, I'll read a book from beginning to end within a day or so... then I'll want to go online and look at reviews and other suggested reads for the book.

I put less than a week :P
