I have had multiple ex's. The most recent girl I dated we broke up at the end of July. It took around 2 days to fully get over her. I turned all that love I felt for her into hate and it was quite easy to move on post haste.

takes a few months for me since ive always been in relationships that last for months at a time. so usually anywhere from a month to two months before im finally over them. i listened to quite a bit of nine inch nails after the first few. kinda funny when you think of it, but that music always has a place in my day.

Took a couple months for my last ex. We dated for over 4 years and were engaged so thats why it took awhile. Then once I started dating again it was all good.

Only ex I ever had wanted to be friends after we broke up; after a couple months, I said "This isn't working for me", cut ties and then was over him

Hmm I don't know. It has varied. A few months, I guess. I'm still friends with all of my ex-boyfriends, though, actually.

Girl 1: Dated over two years and was over the relationship before it even ended. Girl 2: Dated for five months and was greatly troubled for a year and a half. I finally got over her on her wedding day to another guy. Girl 3: Dated for a week and my response to the break up was laughter. Yup.

1st ex: About a week. He got another girlfriend so it was easier to move on knowing I never had another chance.

2nd ex: I'm still not over him. We broke up last month. Every now and then I just start crying because I remember something we did or shared.

Well my last ex was not too long ago, but long enough to move on from by now. It went in stages throughout the months:

Depressing
Sadness
Indifference
Anger
Hate
Sympathy
Subtle Hate

and now it's indifference. I've since cut ties with her and I know the kind of person she is, and it's the kind I have no respect for and will not put up with.

I was with my gf for a little under 2 years when we broke up because she was moving away touniversity. After a year I was still not over her but luckily for me we ended up getting back together and are now in a long distance relationship. Would probably take me a few years and a lot of rebound girls to get over her.

I've only ever "broken up" with someone that I've been with for less than a month, never really felt that kind of withdrawal.

It took a couple months >.>

Probably because we're still friends, but it's better that way. We have mutual friends and see each other a lot, it's great that it's not awkward :)

Never really experienced it (same relationship since i was 14) but I think it depends on a bunch of factors. Who decided to end it? How long were you 2 together? Reasons for it ending? etc etc

my last ex, no time at all, since i was the one that broke it off with her. i don't remember having hard times with my others either. strangely enough, i've had a harder time getting over girls that i liked but couldn't get with, rather than girls that i was with that broke up with me.

I find that the longer I have been in a relationship the longer it takes for me to get over and vice versa. My most recent girlfriend I went out with her for a little over 2 weeks and I got over her as soon as I broke up with her.

Never did. I died within, I got a breakdown, so did she, we both went to see each other, and so we did. Together again. Never had another. Only her. My one and only.

This is the eleventh month. :( It's all good though. I've already moved on. Even with a new girlfriend (or should I say a mutual like each other relationship.) though, I still feel pretty bad when I see my ex. I want closure, but I know I'm not going to get it.

To fully get over my last ex, it took about two week. The first few days I was a wreck, I showed up at school and when I saw my friends I ended up crying so much when I tried to tell them what happened. Afterwards I just kept my head held high and became focused on making even more friends, I wouldn't let a break up ruin my life. Soon that painful feeling that came when I thought about him became a dull stab tot he hear, and soon it became nothing at all. I got over him. And hey, TC, just keep yourself busy for a while, it really helps.

It's been a year and a half. And I'm not even close to being over her. I probably more in love with her. I mean it feels like shes still basically my girlfriend but without the kissing and whatnot. And I won't get over her. She's the one. Knew it before the first time we kissed. I just have to be patient.

After my ex declared a break-up, I didn't even feel a bit of loneliness. Here's what, she's the one who started sticking around me and hugging me like a teddy bear. I think to myself, if I tell her I didn't love her, she will be utterly hurt. So I bit the cookie and courted her.

As nice as it would be to have some sort of instant cure, I think waiting it out can sometimes be your best bet. I remember after my last boyfriend broke up with me I was very sad for a long time. And then one morning I woke up and wasn't quite as sad. And over the weeks/months it gradually hurt less and less.

Not long - I move on quick. But there's random times when I'd just go emo and start thinking " ****, I miss her..."
