The one that i'm currently on (A PIII dell laptop with 128MB RAM and a 550 Mhz speed) has first been owned by my half brother for a fair amount of time before handing it to the family in what is IIRC(2004-2005), so this laptop has been in my families possession for 2-3 years. The one that my university has provided for me (Another Dell Laptop with a core 2 duo, 2 gb ram, 80 gb HD, and a decent integrated nvidia card that even lets me play CoH on fairly low settings) has been in my possession for only 3 months. Unfortunately its a damnable ripoff since i have to pay 900 per year for it, which will add up to 1600 for the two years that its rented out to me. By damn if I bothered to buy that same model directly from Dell, I would definitely get it for so much cheaper.Problem is, is that since i'm an ITM student, the laptop is mandatory so there is no way out if it.

I got mine in August of 2004. My parents got me a new one because I was about to start high school. It's served me well, but it can't play Crysis...surprisingly.
I currently have my laptop and desktop on because I'm transferring vacation pictures and other stuff from my 2 yr old laptop to the 1 day old desktop I bought from circuit city. I'm still getting used to vista but overall I'm fairly happy with my recent purchase.
I am on my laptop, which i havent had for very long. The power supply on my desktop just died 2 days ago. Ive already ordered a replacement one for it, but i had that computer for 3-4 years, itll be up and running again soon (it still plays games that are coming out today. It plays COD4 really well).
ive had this beast for about 1 month now. my old computer was too out of date and it was cheaper/easier to get a new one
but I had the other one for 1-2 years
I change computers a lot though because due to my dad's work he is able to get some computers so the computer im on now is actually the first computer we've bought.
